I think I listened to more classical music this month than I have my entire life. It blocks the traffic and the nasty sounds of the city so well. It makes the listener feel nostalgic for a time that doesn't exist anymore. Makes me appreciate things I didn't before and forces me to slow down and take smaller steps physically and mentally. Hot shower and a cup of peppermint tea is how I end my day. I usually try to clean as much as I can so I can wake up to clean space and smelling good house. Saw a recipe for overnight dough that can be used for bread or pizza and I'm trying it today before bed. Looks really tasty hope it rises properly and I can make some really nice meal, it wont be following my diet but I'm going to try adding some carbs this week. Wish I could share some 🥐

I went on my hike and it was beautiful it was a bit crowded but that's expected since I went on the weekend. I really want to go back and take some photos there off the trail but doing it alone will be very challenging. Many times I've thought how much simpler and better my feed would look if I got help with my photos but I'm really embarrassed to pose in front of someone. I've been learning how to celebrate myself without needing the world at my party. Its easy to get hooked on the chairs from the crowd, but validation like any drug will make you bend your values when you don't get it. You have to be able to show up for yourself and that's all it takes sometimes. Its a hard lesson but one that makes you feel more at peace with yourself.
