1981 glam Def Leppard. So this one was a bit too dry having only 1 guitar and bass. So I had to interfere and recorded some 80s style keyboards and synthetic strings - the ones they used back then - to add some depth and fullness of the sound.
This is my Def Leppard cover number 7! I think I can definitely go back and re-record my older covers of this band. Like Love Bites or Hysteria... I think I would make them a bit different now and also i film a bit different.

If you go to my YouTube channel and scroll down to my very first video that was uploaded in 2008 - you will see me singing this song in Liverpool.
We had two shows, one inside a hall, and another was huge open air concert with international rock musicians there. And I was invited to sing several songs with these guys. I was singing Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to love, White Rabbit and this Bobby McGee.

Back to the 70s. When I got to recording this one - and when I first heard the solo part - It reminded me of Kashmir of Led Zeppelin so much. And then I checked who was inspired by who! Looks like Rainbow was inspired by LZ, because Kashmir was released just one year before that - in 1975. To me many points are similar - desert theme, east, those strings passages going up, and that heavy rhythm... And the overall mood of the song.

Of course - singing Heart is one of my favourite things. I'm just a bit scared that their songs that i record will finish ahahahah ))
I "beautified" this instrumental a bit with additional 80s sounding piano. I was a bit pissed off about how loud they did their back vocals in this instrumental - it was impossible to remove them, so I had to deal with that... But overall the instrumental is good.
