While there's lots of work left to go, stuff is coming together and it's pretty exciting.
We'll be sharing some tidbits in the blogs this month but overall this game has been the biggest engineering challenge we've had to work with. Can't wait to be able to get to the first build out.

Hey patrons, Compymono here!
Sorry for the delay on last month's background blogs and concept art posts but we had some assets come in at the end of last month meaning that my work shifted towards wrapping up the print files for Astatos across all four languages.
So for the first background blog for August, I figure it'll be a great time to look over the asset creation process and preparation for the Astatos print files.
For this background art we're looking at the character design process for the protagonist of the Astatos video game story mode, Vitus. In his design we wanted a more youthful and animated feel to contrast against the other characters in Astatos.
Hope you enjoy this early look at his character design and the process behind it! 👏

So we were working on the story mode for Astatos and we realised that the design for Mukaki was a bit complex to be bringing into a bunch of sprite illustrations.
While working to simplify the character design to create a reference, our concept artist brought forth two different approaches. Since we liked both of them, we figured why not bring it up as a poll.
Let us know which approach you like more and if you guys have any further comments or suggestions...
