Weekly update 9

I have some good news on both games this week that I want to share.

Back to the Roots.

I've finally found the best and hopefully final approach to reducing the size of the game. I managed to reduce size of compressed version almost in half of what it was, and the quality of the picture was even increased. The final size of the compressed version (including the android one) is ~500 MB for v0.20.

Weekly update 8

In this update will be a lot of changes to existing code and some new QoL features, so I hope that nothing will be not broken and work as before. I'll also try to redo some old (bad) animations in addition to the new ones.

Changes will also affect the file system of regular and compressed version. I want to try to simplify building process as much as possible, because now to build archives for all versions takes me up to 1-2 hours, which is not normal at all.

Hint system has been reworked.
Now for each character they are checked and assigned depending on the current game moment, not the quest in which they were assigned earlier.

I spent this week refining new hint system, as well as the MC and Stacey quests.

Also I was thinking to change dev blogs to weekly update with readiness percentages for different parts (such as code, renders, script and release date). Basically there's not much information in them and I believe it's much nicer to look at numbers.

Dev-blog #23

Update 14 is 85% complete. It is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, March 6.

About drawings in general. I have a bit more sketches, but they are all unfinished. Mostly I'm trying out different face shapes, eyes, nose, mouth etc.
Because the main focus is on the current game, I don't have much time for drawing, which slows down the development of the second game, but I hope to come up with something as soon as possible.

Hi, version 13 is already in release, so I'm sharing plans for version 14.

In the new version, Aoi and MC will finally finish the "services" arc. Also MC will meet another "friend" of Hina's, Misaki, for whom he will have to fulfill some things.

Dev-blog #21

13th update is almost done. Lina quests are fully rendered and Lily quests are 80% ready. New update is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, 21.

Over the weekend I'll try to get a bit of a handle on the quests that will be in the upcoming updates.

I'll also try to post an improved 18+ version of the drawing I posted earlier on the next week.

Hey, last week I did some sketches of what I want to see as the character design. Still a long way from the final result, but at least I have more than just an idea of what it should look like. I think I'll spend at least another week or two getting used and only after I'll start trying to sketch out characters, rooms, items, etc.

Dev-blog #20

Version 12 was released this week and in the next update, Lina's parents will finally come to check on their daughters. But meeting their parents won't be as much of a surprise to MC as what he discovers in Lina. He will also try to help Lily overcome her fear of boys, in his own way.

Community service. 

There's not much here. I've done some sketches, but I haven't come up with anything good enought yet.
