It's a never-ending running with toast in your mouth marathon! This is the final render of the Sailor Moon animation for Patron's Pick Heroes. It was really fun making this loop! I tried to replicate the bubbles and sparkles often found in the background of 90's shoujo anime. And, being a 90's anime, I found it fitting to create a VHS tape alt render of this loop, complete with a timestamp of the date the very first episode of Sailor Moon aired in Japan. What's more heroic than running late for school with toast in your mouth? Well.. probably a lot of things, but that's what makes Usagi such a relateable hero! She's unreliable, clumsy, cries a lot and loves eating - just like us! Princess Zelda (Smash Ultimate model) was the winner of this month's Hero-themed Patron's Pick! Yesterday I did the linework for her painting which you can download above. Below are also the sketches I did while thinking up some poses. I ended up combining some of the hand gestures into the bottom right, and when it is painted she will also have some magic light coming from her hands!
