Toy Clown Walk: Version 11

Tada! Version 11 of the walk, now completed in full 1000x750 Pixel Glory. If I make this any larger it's going to have to be as an MP4.

The 8th version of the walking windup toy animation. Definitely my most complex series of animations to date.

Toy walk version six

So this is the sixth version of the windup toy walk. I’ve adjusted the feet and hip rotation to try and make the feet not clip through the floor without bending the knees. I think this gives it a much more fluid appearence without loosing the toy-like stiffness.

Toy Marching Animation test

So this is the 5th version of the marching animation I have made. Slowly hammering out things like bending the hips and arms. The first four attempts ended up looking more like someone trying to moonwalk forward, which looked even more strange than this.  

Emily trapped Gif

So this is a great case of a fun idea but poorly executed. I wanted a simple gif of Emily transformed into a toy clown, looking around with panicked eyes. And technically that is what this is. However the angle is WAY too far back to really notice the eyes, and so this just comes off as a still picture... a 30 Megabyte still picture...

Oh well, learn from my mistakes and do better next time!

Just a few quick tests of a new outfit I got for the holiday season. This will be perfect for the more 'regal' toy soldiers. Sadly the detail comes from the textures and not the object itself, so turning it to plastic simply using shaders is out. Still I'm super happy with this.

When I was young I would always want to get the Holiday Barbie for Christmas. Some times I did, sometimes I didn't. In this image I seem to have gotten it in a different way than expected....

Honestly, the fun part about being able to make images at higher detail is that I can now WAY more easily make them into things like this. Taking a little care I can make sure that the end of every sequence lines up with the beginning. A little snipping here and there and presto! You can't tell where one clip ends and the next begins. Now I can add variations like swiveling to the right and left and repeat for as long as I want.

Toy Soldier board game WIP

Two groups of friends all suddenly abducted and finding themselves stranded in a strange plastic world, only the swirling vortex outside. they must compete to capture the enemy team's flag in some strange game they do not understand... but who could have done this? and for what nefarious purpose?

Or is it just two cosmically powered reality benders having a fun pick up game of toy soldiers?
