2023 February WIP 2 - Wips & Upload Preview

Ok so, was hoping to get this finished tonight but it's taking a bit and I think I need fresh eye's on it first. So going to sleep and then see what it needs. Should be finished within the day though.

I'll go into more detail on the upload about how things have been.

2023 February WIP 2 - More Boys

Bit of a mix going on, the new rat sona is getting into trouble, the collection of boys are well endowed... and a little lizard is feeling a little bit stretched.

Design Poll - Rat Fur Colour

Ok so I've been debating on whether to do this or not but it's also a thought that's not gone away either.

Part of the reason why is because the white has been feeling off to me. I'm happier with it now, that it's toned down and has the brown as a secondary colour. But I've been wondering about trying something else. I like my natural tones so it's a lot of shades of brown and grey here. But ...

Either way I wanted to thank you all for sticking around. It's been one hell of a turbulent year for I'm sure everyone. But we've gone and made it somehow. You're doing good.

Design Poll - Rat Sole

Ok so been thinking on a couple of things. First thing

First thing the sole/palm colour for rat boy. I want to keep it close to the skin tone but not sure on if I should go lighter or darker.  Very minor detail I know but it's "important" given 99% of what I focus on. :v

Overwhelming

Even a 5,7" shortie can be a force to be reckoned with at the right scale.
Don't ask how he keeps getting this big thought, it just keeps happening! (He's actually not that big, the planet is just that small.)

I wanted to get this done sooner but the holidays kind of hit hard. Going to try and get a few non-rat related things sorted before the months out. There's a few things I'm still not sure on with this boy but I'll explore those when there's time.

2022 December WIP 1 - Rat Brained

I'm trying my best to not horde these up too much, but sometimes my brain goes out the window for a few days, or week sometimes more.

So anyway have about 7 days worth of built up creative vomit.

Trying to draw the rat boy doing different things and see how it feels. Also having a think on if he should have some alliterative paws and if so, what they should be like.

Also someone reminded me I have a pelican so I had to draw them being horrible.

TL;DR I'm a rat boy now?

OK so this has been a (not so) secret project. For those not in the know, I've been feeling disconnected from my ram boy for a long time now. So I've been on the hunt to try and find something as a new persona (also why you've been seeing a lot of dorks in glasses looking very similar over the last year.)

After a lot of trial, error and learning, I'm leaning towards being a rat boy, at least half the time. I don't think I'll retire the ram but he's goin...

Good news is over the last few days I've gotten some very solid ideas on how I want to handle these two after, frankly months of going back and forth on that.

Going to wrap a couple of these up in some colour, then focus on the poll results for next month and catch up on those. I'm so sorry it's been a rough one this month, too much background stuff got in the way.

Design Poll - Rat Fur

Continuing off from the other poll, this is more specifically for the arms, I'm trying to find a fur cut that will work well with long sleeved and short sleeved shirts. I know cutting it off at the wrist is the common type for rats but I wanted to see how these two went on their own first.
