September WIP 1 - Hisuian Growlithe

Today ended up being kind of busy so going to do the ZIP tomorrow, then onto cleaning this guy up!

Ok so after a long long long long time in development. Finally got that Capybara alt sorted! We'll see how it goes but kind of thinking of using him for more, normal sized and art based shenanigans.

Also counting this towards last month because I was so close to getting him done but unexpected things came up. I'll get the end of month ZIP up with some extra goodies tomorrow.

Ok so had planned to get two things sorted out before the month flipped but the detail work on this one kind of got the better of me :'v

August WIP 7 - Big Talons

Was hoping to get this all sorted today but, that was a bit ambitious. So going to try and aim for tomorrow to get details and colours and such sorted out.

Leash Laws

Saw a paw design that was cute, wanted to try it out on Boof. I think it works quite well on him. keeps the chunky 4 toed paw look but has a more humanoid spread. I'll probably just flip between it and regular paws for now.

Boof might be a dog but he is definitely not the kind to follow commands. Or listen to rude attitudes. Or put his clothes on all the time.

August WIP 5 - Demons and Angels

Been working on some older boys and gearing them up, trying to prepare somethings for future ideas I've got. Also applying some of the poll results to the goat boy. I really want to brew up some Heaven vs Hell stuff, I don't know why exactly but I get a big kick out of it.

I'm going to try and post work in progress stuff more often. I ave this bad habit of trying to aim for some kind of imagery level of quality first before doing so but really it just holds  things back longer. So ...

Ramtaur + Even More Taur

So was messing around in a old photoshop file and got a idea, so tried it out by cannibalizing two older sketches. I really like how they came out so tweaked them but by bit and I think they're done.

Kassy can have hooves every once and a while, as a treat.

I also ended up doodling a horse because I have a idea for a blonde horse man... He's not actually meant to be a taur but that's been the current mood so wanted to get that out of my system and I'm bolting it onto this post. 2021-08-18 15:17:50 +0000 UTC View Post

August WIP 4 - Awkward

Kind of want to do more on this, but also hold off posting it until I can get something solid drawn up of the Capybara as a proper introduction. 

Either way, first times are always awkward.

Kah Update

After taking in the poll results, ideas tossing around some ideas by people and looking more closely at a lot of reference material of Kookaburras, I have slapped what I have learned together!

Basically his blue arm and tail feathers are brighter, added blue to the start of the tail arm and leg scales are a much darker black (but still with a tint of blue.) Beak got more blue, he now has the thri-mask head pattern thing going on AND now has much more bird like feet.

August WIP 3 - Bad Influence

So basically this is pretty much a metaphor for Kassy being my gate way drug that's taken me down the long stompy road of macro that's turned me into the foot loving weirdo I am today.

But it's also two dorks being huge, stepping on things and being gay so that's a plus.

Got a few art other things on the way, I really want to get the Kookaburra sorted out. But I feel weird just reposing edits without anything new to go along with them. So I'm just taking a little bit longer than...

Birdy Face

Been tossing up on whether to do this or not but in looking at real kookaburra head patterns they seem to either have a mask under their eyes and around the frond of their face. Or one that splits at the middle and goes over the top of their heads. So poll time!

August WIP 1 - Birdy Indecision

So this recent poll kind of has me pretty torn so I've been trying to sketch a few things out to get a  feel for the two designs. It's not helped much, I like both and keep swinging between the two. :'v

The first one (A) I feel is more visually appealing and simple to work with, but feels like it's missing something.

But the second one (B) 100% nails the bird look and feel, it's just kind of harder to work with because it's so unusual (and the heel claw does get in the way ...

Birdy Feet

New month new obligatory foot poll. (I swear I don't plan these out I just keep having thoughts.)

But yeah was looking through some other peoples art of birds and it got me thinking because I don;t think I actually have any boys with one of those backwards heel claws.

Same Old Same Old

Ok so I was trying something out with a set of Boof pictures, giving him 5 toes instead of 4 and I quite like it. But then i flip flopped and wen back to the 4 toed paws. But kept the slimmer look of the 5 toed paws  and the toe ring. Something about the mix just felt right to me.

Anyway I also updated the pictures that went with that experiment, took them from sketches, cleaned them up and coloured them.

"More Bugs"

Everyone starts to look like a bug when you're over 100 feet tall.

I really need to get a new ref sheet for Kassy done up. There's a few things I've been experimenting with that I think are looking pretty good. One of them has been to shave the wool around his neck and keep it on the top/back of his head. I'll draw up a better example of it when I can but wanted to give it ago on this sketch.

Got one more post to make tonight and then that's July wrapped up.

Lugia Colour Poll

I was looking at pictures of Lugia (as you do) and wanted to try something with the belly because I'm not super happy with it as it is. It's a problem in working with yellow as a colour.

If I make it too desaturated it looks really dull and bad, too saturated and it's too bright and over powers the eye. This is about the best mix I could come up with after trying some variants out. So the fins...

Cliff Edge

Bit of a vent piece but I thought it came out looking good. I know people are here for kink orientated art but sometimes you just want to try something different to keep yourself fresh.
I wanted to post this along side something more "regular" but it ended up taking ages because of a lack of free time this month.

Two Mops in a Forest

No one told me there was a Pokemon that's just a two headed mop top. So of course I had to draw them once I found out. Also makes sense to put those two heads and long necks to good use. I can only guess where they got the pants from.

On the real life news front, the house painting is nearly done. Just got two rooms and 1/4th a hall way to go and then I'll be free full time again. So that should see a up swing in productivity and a lot less hand strain hopefully.

July WIP 4 - Capybara Update

So some people made a good point about Capybaras being large rats, and this got the old gears turning in whats left of my head. So I'm thinking of basically making this guy the rat boy. Something about it just feels more fitting for what I'm trying to aim for with them as a character. That and it means I can to become the drowned rat I was always meant to be.

So basically same design, will use the outcome of the poll results on him. Also a name change because there was some issues tha...

Effective Mass

So I've been playing that Mass Effect remaster and it might have rekindled somethings...
I might REALLY like robots ok. I might also have a very limited way to show my love. (It's by drawing feet)

Sometimes I just need to get things out of my system.

Kind of got knocked on my ass by a surprise illness last week and was bed ridden for a few days so I'm trying to play catch up. :'v

July WIP 3 - Keith Cool Off

I wanted to do a kind of speed test today so started from scratch and went hard for an hour and a half and this is about as far as I got. I'm pretty happy with that progress honestly I'm thinking I might need to try working with a thinner brush more often.

I might clean this up and slack some black and white onto it later.

July WIP 2 - A Collection of Boof

Ok so I'm doing that thing again. Was trying something out with that last lot of Boof pictures and I quite like it. Keeping the slimmer paws but trying out the 4 toed look while keeping the toe ring. I don't know it's feel kind of right to me?

I know it's probably strange why I keep going back and making edits and stuff. But it just helps me when I'm unsure about something. Also it saves a lot of time vs completely drawing something new just to make some slight alteration you know?

July WIP 1 - Zach Update

Going to be implementing the poll results from last month. Also taken it as a chance to doll up this older picture and try some things out with the colours. Mostly just trying to make the his lighter skin tone a bit warmer, work out what to do with his mouth and such. I might make some alts on that and see what you guys think.

Either way I want to try something for a background on this then it should be done. I've included a upload of the older picture to help show what's been updated....

Just doing some information gathering. In this case the focus is on the flesh tone, between something more brown or something with more of a redish hue. When it comes to the skin colour I might experiment more on it going down the track.

2021 July WIP 1 - Bretonnian Bully

"What if Kassy was a Warhammer Beastman? 🤔"

Basically I picture him being a Beastman giant because he fits that temperament much better than some of the alternatives. But one that's mutated enough to have a full beastie boy head and other bits. Because of course.

I might be excited for a specific piece of DLC for a certain Total War Warhammer game...  maybe. Ok very much so yes.

I want to clean this up more maybe or at least colour it at some point so for now it goes...
