Thanks again to all of you supporting the Rangers Project.
June was a bit light on artwork, but I did spend time this month prepping/extending book artwork, and with that layout artist Murry Lancashire was able to complete a new Beta release PDF.
To be fair to him, I sent him most of my Patreon funds for this month. I don't want to make you guys feel like I'm misusing your donations though, or not putting it to the uses you'd most prefer.
What do you guys think? Is it fi...

I've completed background extensions and sketch cutouts on another chapter for my book. Those are going into layout and a new beta PDF release should come soon.
I'll be tallying up your pledge totals as time goes on, so if you pledge less than $15/mo, but eventually accumulate that much in donations, you'll be getting a copy of The Protectorate Wars PDF. Likewise $15/mo patrons will be able to earn their way up to a few $30/mo patron benefits.
Again I've added ...

You've seen this piece before, but as part of expanding artwork for book layout I've given it a landscape oriented background. I saved out a desktop resolution version and placed it in the desktop images dropbox folder:

Time for some fresh Protectorate Wars artwork. I haven't started any new art for the book in a while, but many of the planned larger illustrations for the book have yet to be done. Here's one I'll be doing based on one of the books top backer proposal rewards. Heavy power armor and massive assault ships touching down from orbit. This is a crop of the full scene, which I'll show more of as it fills out.

I need to make more stuff for you guys! Which by the way, if anyone has any specific requests for things you want to see from my setting, let me know. Here's a solider design I whipped up, some elements based on very old sketches (from my head, didn't have the oldies on hand). Linked to the Elemental program, experimental stuff, stuff that I haven't decided on :D

My previous "avatar" image that I used on DA and other place was getting a little old, 5 years old, so I painted up a new one.
Not much detail going on with individual features as it's meant to display so small, but I thought you guys might enjoy seeing it a bit bigger anyway.

Here's something I promised to deliver for my Kickstarter backers, a first collection of 1920x1080px images you can download and use as desktop wallpapers. I think you patrons might enjoy them too, so here they are. I hope to have more impressive ones to share down the line.
Get them from this Dropbox link:

Your pledges passed the $60 mark this month. For a little glimpse into my budgeting, that's essentially one day of my month that I can now work on personal art rather than freelance, 1/30th of total freedom :)
Of course, I'll try to deliver more than that during this buildup time, but it's exciting to see this already coming together.
Thanks again everyone.

Here it is, the first illustration I've finished to be funded by patrons. With your help I was able to spend time on this without feeling stressed on if I should be doing paid work or not. This will be going into the Protectorate Wars book, but you patrons get to see it a bit larger than I would usually post (check the download link). More to come.

Here's the first piece of "patron first" art for you guys. I started this piece early in book production, but shelved it due to not having a designated page in the book and for lacking a bit in composition. I've resurrected it now, chopped up the composition a bit, will redo all the old effects, and am raising the detail level. This may now fit in an end section for the Protectorate Wars book. I'll be posting progress images here until it's done, if I don't knock it out all at once next time. (B...

First patrons! Thanks for taking the plunge with me.
I'll try to get something fresh made for you guys before the end of the year, and I'll be posting more from my book for anyone that hasn't already seen those yet.

Patreon here we go!
Welcome aboard everyone. To start things off I'm going to be posting some of the artwork my kickstarter backers and pre-order customers were seeing during my initial book production push, I may also throw in some preview pages from the PDF as it progresses.
I still need to figure out what goals to set, but the general idea out the gate is more patron funding = more art. There's also the magical scenario where funding surpasses my basic income needs and I get to go full time ...
