Infinity War Thor

Hello friends I finally finished this new portrait of Thor as seen in Avengers: Infinity War

I've been wanting to revisit Thor for a while and I really wanted to give him the Eye patch, but it took me a while to get the face right, I think the asymmetry became so much more obvious when one eye is covered.. it took a bit of trial and error to get the perfect balance and I'm really happy with it ☺️☺️☺️

I remember spending a lot of time rendering that Dad Bod... and the outfits were a lot of fun, did you know that you can buy that "Hawaiian Hopper Shirt" online? I ran into a lot of unlicensed replicas when I was researching the pattern.

OK since I'm making the comparison I think is fair that I post this one 😅

Still holds up... mostly, the folds in the arm are a bit weird and the face is little too flat, but the palette is really nice and that rim light!

The structure is pure Mucha, the tile effect is Greek inspired, and the color palette is based on a Hello Kitty holographic sticker that my niece put on my laptop LOL.

I do have the original vector and the PSD colored version, I'm posting them next 😉

I'm really happy with this beard, I wasn't sure how to approach it but it kinda happened organically, the lighting really helps cause it didn't had a lot of texture until the very end and of course I couldn't help to hide a few little heart shapes in the eyes and lips 🥰🥰🥰

This time I started building up the shadows and highlights together, the angle of the light was a bit different from what I'm used to and I couldn't get the depth of the nose right unless I had some highlight for comparison... and the forehead at first seemed easy but then I started over rendering it but later I'll fix it, you'll see 😅

I've wanting to make a mosaic background for a while but I was too lazy to try LOL it finally happened, I did take some shortcuts, but the final results looks very Greek-mosaic ish to me. the coloring was another challenge but this stage is very satisfying as is.

Hello friends I hope you're doing well, I just finished a new portrait and I'm very excited to share it with you.

Francois Sagat is and endless source of inspiration for me, I first discovered him a long time ago when he was an actor for TITANMEN and he was one of the first portraits I made for the Fuhrerdoodles project... he is not only beautiful but also very interesting to me, he has a shameless, flamboyant masculinity that gives him a vibe similar to a renaissance painting, and I ca...
