I was so nervous about this one cause Patrick Fillion is an amazing artist and his line art is always super crisp and very in the classic american comic style. I tried to keep a little more lines in my inks this time to make it look a little more comic, the I figured that I should also try to make the colors very "fuhrerdoodle" style so I ended up blending a lot of the lines into the colors anyway 😜

DEIMOS #5 Official Cover

Is so surreal to see my art in the cover of a Class Comics issue, is also kinda funny that I can't show this to my Mom LOL... is one of those moments when I have to be proud in private. But at least I can share it with you my beloved patrons! 🥰🥰🥰

You can find the issue now on classcomics.com there's a printed version, a regular PDF and a deluxe PDF with more pages... I highly recommend all of them 😅😅😅

DEIMOS #5 Cover (final)

Hello friends, today I'll be sharing more images from the Deimos cover.. Starting with this final versions, with and without the official title.. I love everything about this cover, the background is designed to match some of the art inside the pages of this issue, without spoiling too much I can tell you that a Cthulhu worshiping wizard has his way with Deimos 😏😏😏I hope you like it and as always thank you all so much for your support. 💜💜💜

DEIMOS 5 Cover Art (Hairy)

I came up with a new technique for the body hair... I used a fabulous hair brush that a friend shared with me a few months ago, I also added some hand drawn hairs to fill the gaps, and then I added some halftone shading to the hairy areas to give it more depth and texture. And it was way faster than my previous technique WYT? 🤔

I really loved working on this cover, and Patrick gave me so much freedom to portrait Deimos in my own style... This is a Smooth preliminary version, I'll be posting the official version when the issue comes out in a few days.

This is the approved sketch for the Deimos cover... I made many different versions of this... one hairy, one hairless, one with a bowtie, You'll see later. And this is probably the biggest dick I've drawn on any character 😅

Building the color very slowly, keeping the bottom part of the face a little desaturated to mimic the beard shadow, and the ears are very pink cause blood flow ☺️

Hello friends today I'll be sharing some progress shots of the Michael Project... Is a very classic process this time, I combined some of my favorite techniques and tried to make the skin as soft as possible.. You can see I added some highlight to the cheekbone to help me establish the contrast early on cause I didn't want to over do the shadows... later I went back to clean up and reinforce the highlights.

Many years ago I stumble across a gay erotic comic book on Blogger... remember blogger? and I was so impressed and inspired by it that I started an extensive research for the creator of that amazing piece of art. That was the first time I found out about Class Comics and Patrick Fillion, and it changed my perception of the publishing industry and gay art forever... 

A few months ago I got approached by Patrick himself to offer me to make the cover for the upcoming issue of DEIMOS T...

Michael Boston Lineart

You can tell that I made several versions of that face cause how accurate those few lines are LOL... the great thing about digital inking is that I can keep the lines that work and fine tune any lines that are "close but not there yet" and also cut out half of the face and keep it handy but try a new version and then combine them and see which one looks better... yeah sometimes it feels like cheating 😅

I love this cleanup, he looks super cute and the veins in the arms were very confusing so I just neglected them and that made the end result more soft looking.

So for this file I was able to keep the skin, hair, eyes and outline in separate layers, The background is pretty simple so I had room for the different layers to stay, and the adjustment layers are kinda minimal this time... just the basics LOL

This is one of those illustrations that I created from a place of comfort and joy, I'm very happy with my technique at the moment and I didn't want to try anything new or crazy, I just focused on the subject and let the piece slowly come to live.

Hi friends, Today I'll be posting a new portrait of adult film star Michael Boston. I made an experimental portrait of him once, but it was only his face and this time I wanted to actually work on his bootiful physique, ehem...

I'm a big admirer of the male form and the backside happens to be my favorite, Michael has one of the most remarkable backsides in the industry and I couldn't resist to make a study of it.

I really love this background... Ice is a recurring theme in my work, and is not intentional, I just discovered that 😅The mandala layout is the same I used for the Sexy Santa last year. I wanted to have a dark version of it since the last time it was so happy and holiday-ish. And I'm very pleased with the glass effect and how it goes into the frozen texture.... yeah there's something about ice that speaks to me IDK why

Usually after I'm done with the face I go to the chest and arms... after that it gets more messy, once I get the likeness of the person right I can be more liberal with the body so I go back and forth  trying to find the overall balance, Usually the hair goes last.

Definitely one of my favorite steps, I love how everything comes together at the end, I keep the final details very sharp to mimic the appearance of natural oils or moisture on the surface of the skin.

Due to the dramatic lighting of this portrait, there was a point where I was a little lost and I had to move on to the neck to complete all the shadow areas and then come back to finish the mouth and chin...I started adding some soft highlights too and started kicking the deeper shadows a little further... this wasn't very straightforward, It took a lot of fine tuning especially around the eyes and mouth, which I think are Joe's more attractive features. But eventually I got there 😅

Hello friends Today I'll be sharing some progress shots from the Sub Zero project and a few extras and alts. I'm sorry I've been a little absent, the return to the office is really kicking my butt and I feel like I spend more time stuck in traffic than at home LOL. 

Thank you all so much for your support, this project has been so fulfilling for me, I've learned a lot about coloring metal and different textures, and of course I loved the chance to study Joe Taslim's handsome face......

In this file I also kept the Clothes in separate layers and a mask to hide the ears and hair when the helmet is on. You can turn the mask off by shift + Clicking on the white rectangle next to the layer's Miniature.

The suit is very busy and has a lot of different Textures so I thought I would make a simple minimalistic background....  LOL right. As always I just kept adding more and more details, but to be fair the art in the videogames and the movie is always very busy, so my version makes sense 😜

Ok for this file I managed to keep the Armor in separate layers, so you can turn the different parts on and off to create many different versions. The layer that contains Joe's body has a mask that can be turn on and off to hide the ears and some of the hair that shows around the helmet. There's also a separate layer for the ice blue eyes ( The original ones are dark brown).

And I also included a lot of separated elements from the background so this is a very complete file I hope you li...
