Coloring David 2

Even when the beard is not that dense, I like to separate it to make the coloring process a bit more easy, eventually it all gets blended with the highlights... same for the lips.

Coloring David

When coloring this type of illumination, I mask the dark half of the face, to help me create some structure and save some time while shading. Eventually that area will be blended into the rest of the face seamlessly.

I think I finally got to the right balance with these figurines, not too much detail, but enough so it looks like the model... of course the coloring process stills too convoluted lol

This background is actually kinda simple, I new I wanted it to be dark but I wasn't sure about the textures yet, but I knew I wanted the face huggers since the very beginning, if I had more time I would probably add some xenomorphs crawling in the back, but Mr. Fassbender took all of my time this month sorry 🙃

I imagine that the android doesn't have pubes... but it looked weird without pubes, maybe cause he's so pale and lean, the little bit of body hair provided a nice transition from the pelvis to the penis, that area I still haven't figured out completely lol.

Mr. Fassbender has a difficult face, he is very fair and apparently he's aging naturally, so he's wrinkled AF, in photos and film his face looks normal, but in a drawing is hard to render his face without making him look way older, so it was a matter to pick and choose where do I want to keep the wrinkles and where do I smooth them out, you can see in the line art, there are a lot more lines than usual, and some of them don't make it into the final version, but I really needed them as a refer...

This one has a lot of adjustment layers but I tried to keep them organized so it won't be too confusing, I had to compromise some transparent layers to keep the file manageable, but I think you'll find it interesting 😅

So... Mr. Fassbender has graced us with some nudity in films, but still I took some artistic license, respectfully enhancing his already great physique, also I made him a little scruffy, with some stubble and messy hair, cause you know, that's totally my type 😅

The Background is obviously inspired in the work of H.R. Giger and the Alien production designs, which I totally love!

Here's the full piece, the client asked for more of a relaxed style for this illustration, not so pinup, more like a photoshoot for a magazine. The background is like inside the Gym at the Hercules' Villa, and I had a lot of fun dressing it up with all the greek murals, if you pay attention to the base, there's an ancient artwork of Hercules wearing the lion fur 😅

I really like this format with the removable clothes, but I can 't make it more fluid, I feel like the characters look a little stiff... maybe next time I'll try something else. For now the pose works and the layers were pretty easy to design.

This was a very interesting experiment, I was commission to create a sexy illustration of Disney's Hercules. But instead of going straight to the cartoon style, I tried to render it in my own semi-realistic style. How you you like it?

I didn't attended a lot wrestling matches as a kid, I only watched the Santo movies on TV. So I asked my dad to take me to a match. I was like 6, and it was super boring and weird lol... in my home town there weren't many famous Luchadores, but I do remember the posters, and for years they got my attention, they look like a vintage Circus poster, so I wanted to keep that same vibe for this piece.

I wanted to take this opportunity to render a different body type, Mexican Luchadores are not very lean or defined like bodybuilders, they look strong and sturdy, but also very meaty and plumed, their skin is smooth and shinny and being Mexican they're obviously uncut 😅 I don't draw a lot of foreskin but I do like it, so ta-dah!
