Patreon 2024 Updates and Changes

Hey everyone, Amyth and Rowan here! So before we start posting again publicly, and things hopefully get a bit livelier around here and on the discord server, we wanted to make a quick post regarding some updates and changes going forward ^^

Anyways! WEW LADDY... Apologies in advance for the big ass wall of text! Lots of minor stuff admittedly but we definitely want to be as transparent as possible.

Patreon related stuff:

•      Rowan(Autumn) and I are once again working together! This patreon will be a joined effort for the foreseeable future. We will be making some of her past works available on here again soon to celebrate :3

•      As mentioned in my return post a bit back, I will no longer be charging on months that Rowan or I won't have a completed project to share. This gives me peace of mind as I really don't like getting something for nothing and life happens sometimes so I like having the ability to put things on hold for a month if needed.

•      I have slightly updated our reward tiers! Most notable change is that our Drake Tier ($5) will have access to our 4 most recent pieces and the Dragon Tier($10) will have access to the past 8 split between Rowan and I! Each new piece submitted will "retire" an older one but they all will always be available on our other store pages if anyone arrives late to the party and still wants them ^^

•      Speaking of! We've opened 2 new places to offer past rewards: Payhip  & Boosty! Disappointingly, Gumroad restricts nsfw content now so our old site/method for offering our past HD content outside of Patreon has to be replaced. For the time being Boosty is just being treated as a Gumroad replacement and not as a subscription service.

•      .PSD rewards are being retired for the time being. I felt interest in them was niche at best and they're quite a bit of work to put together since I have an, admittedly, pretty complex way I go about making my art when it comes to how many layers I tend to use (if you have one of my past .psd files you'll know what I mean lol).

       I'm still very much experimenting with my methods though and if I do something not too crazy stylistically/layers wise I may still offer one from time to time (especially if it ends up used in a tutorial or something!). Mainly we will be doing easier to follow process breakdowns and or animated .gifs/.mp4s to show the creation workflow for our art instead. I feel those are much easier to follow and more interesting to look at for most folks anyway~

Commission TOS Updates:

•      I am now potentially willing to draw more exotic genitalia on female characters as far as commissions are concerned. My one stipulation is that it is a -fantasy- character that is either a mythical creature or hybrid and not just a typical dog/horse/etc. Must be able to pass the Harkness Test lol

       Ultimately, I've decided that it's a bit silly to only be willing to draw atypical genitalia on male characters. The double standard hasn't been sitting well with me so I'm gonna try and be more open to possibilities.

•      I am willing to draw f/f content always and potentially m/m**

      **Male on male content is going to be reserved for special occasions like a big anniversary or marriage or something as its not something I want to draw more than very rarely. But if someone has been a long time supporter of us I'd certainly be willing to consider it! There is no guarantee and it has to be for something special but feel free to inquire.

•      I am also willing to draw watersports themes potentially, depends on the idea! Feel free to inquire.

•      My Terms of Service & Rowan's Terms of Service

Star Currency Changes:

(⭐'s are the currency that our patron tiers earn each month along with server boosters and the 3 most active folks on our discord server each month. More info about them here: Clicky!)

•      As a whole, our ⭐currency is going to be getting a revamp in the future and have much more thought put into what they can be used for, amounts for said things, etc. but for now all that is being simplified.

•      In the meantime, and as an additional thank you/bonus for people who have supported us for a while, Stars earned will result in increased voting power in our polls going forward! 50 stars earned will result in 1 additional vote, 100 will be 2, etc..

•      Starting now stars are also going to work as a bit of a priority system. Up until this point Rowan and I offered commissions that could be secured for a set amount of stars but it simply is not a sustainable system as the patreon grows (at least at the amounts asked up to this point). This may change in the future but its a prudent adjustment to make sooner rather than later and now feels like the best time to do so before we get back into the full swing of things.

  •      With that being said! To honor our past arrangement our top 10 supporters who are currently still patrons are eligible to secure a guaranteed commission slot from us going by the old costs/star amounts. <- click for reference

•      If Rowan or I open for a commission and no one listed wants it, then I will instead accept one from whoever is interested with the most stars, basically (though no back to back commissions from the same person to keep things reasonable! Such things will also be considered).

•      There will be more perks/uses that come to our ⭐ system in the future so look forward to that and keep hoarding them like proper dragons! We're just keeping things simple for now while we work on rebuilding ^^

Discord Stuff:

•      We'd like to start hosting movie nights again once the server grows a bit and we have a handful of people interested in attending them. If this sounds like something you'd really like to see happen or take part in let us know via direct message or through whatever means really! Rowan and I mainly just wanna have at least a few folks that would reliably participate before we bring them back :3

•      We will likely need to a new discord mod or two in the future if things do get lively in there again. We will try and recruit one when the time comes or, who knows, maybe it will just happen organically ^^

•      Any potential discord mod would of course get a special role and access to a private channel along with 2 more stars a month. We try and treat our mods well! Any potential mod would definitely have to be someone we really trust and ideally could consider an actual friend.

I finished a special piece this weekend that I've been wanting to draw for a good long while. Edge of Twilight is special for three reasons: The first reason is that this is the first ever full picture of my new main OC Rowan, which is awesome :3 The second reason is that this is the first NSFW pic of me and Amyth together! And to mark the occasion, we decided to do a gentle collab. I did the bulk of the piece, but Amyth did some polishing touches. Amyth also did the flat colors for his markings so he could incorporate some new changes to his design. Which brings me to the third reason. This is Amyth's final design change! I hope you all enjoy this picture as much as I enjoyed working on it. I think Amyth really helped give this picture a little extra punch with his atmospheric touches ^^

Hey everyone, It's been a while.

I want to touch base with you all after my extended break. First off, I should have given more of a heads-up about my hiatus and for that, I sincerely apologize. I understand it might have caused a bit of concern for some folks and I deeply appreciate your patience during what ended up being an incredibly challenging time for me.

To put things simply, the passing of my mom hit me harder than I anticipated. I realized pretty early on that I needed time to focus on my mental and emotional well-being after everything that happened and that recovering from such a significant life event is a journey and not a race.

I was already struggling to maintain an online presence while being my mom's sole caretaker for years and her passing ended up being the finishing touch in that regard. Getting back on my feet took longer than I expected but I feel like I'm in a much better position to try and make a return to online spaces now.

The generosity I've been shown here has always been a huge source of motivation and inspiration for me and it was never my intention to neglect or disregard it with my actions - especially in regard to those folks that attempted to reach out to me while I was away. I've missed interacting and sharing my work with you all. I'd like to slowly but surely shake my social rust off and and reconnect with those of you who have stuck around - all I ask is to just please bear with me a bit while I try and overcome said rustiness. I've always struggled with being an introvert but after such a long break I can't lie that trying to be social again feels pretty daunting at the moment ^^;

I also want to mention that moving forward, I'll only allow payments to process for the months where I have completed projects to share. This decision will give me peace of mind and align better with my current circumstances. I'm also considering other changes to simplify things so stay tuned for more updates soon in that regard ^^

Anyway, I genuinely hope you've all been well and thank you all once again for your support and understanding. I look forward to getting back into the swing of things! And for those who were worried about Autumn also, she is doing very well for herself and has been my rock when everything seemed to be falling apart. I'm a lucky devil to have someone like her being here for me in person.

First off, I hope you all have been having a Happy New Year and had a pleasant holiday season as well!

I'm so sorry that the last thing you all heard from me was about such a heavy topic. Things stayed pretty hectic for me for a couple of weeks since my mom's funeral with family coming and going and getting all the stuff she left behind situated. I spent the end of November and December processing things and its been rough but I'd like to say it helped a lot to give myself that time. Thank you all for being so patient and understanding ;; <3

To say 2022 ended up being quite the crappy year for me would be a heck of an understatement and I'm very eager to leave it behind. So here's to a new year and trying to make the best of it, hopefully!

Speaking of, I wanted to review how things are being handled with the patreon. For a while there was a lot of potential options and small changes I was considering making but in the end I've decided to only tweak a few things instead.

First thing is I'd like to re-add incentive for folks to boost the discord server by once again rewarding an additional star each month for those of you who are boosting. For those that remained boosters even throughout it not rewarding Stars I'm retroactively awarding star points for that, thank you so much for continuing to show support <3

Secondly, as I complete commissions I will offer additional openings through here for anyone interested. To show my gratitude to those of you who have supported the most, those with the most Stars get priority on securing a slot. I feel this is only fair and I'd really like to show my thanks to you longtime supporters.

Multiple character pieces featuring one of my characters or just an Azodic in general will always be available, however. In the future I'd definitely like to get my species out there more and perhaps even allow folks to make their own. BUT, for now, I'm mainly concerned with letting patrons who have been waiting the longest to commission me a chance to do so ^^

Anyway, one other small change going forward are that I'll no longer be offering .psd files of my work. The amount of time and organization it takes me to make those honestly just doesn't feel worth it as I feel its a niche offering that most people prooobably don't really care a whole lot about unless they themself are an artist? I also really wanna just focus on getting more work in general done so to me it makes sense to simplify my offerings to try and help with that. I'm open to feedback on this of course, but for now it's something I wanna try out.

Perhaps in the future I can think of something more appealing to replace that perk with (I'm open to suggestions!) but for now being a tier 3 supporter is as optional as ever :3

Anywho, I just wanted to share those adjustments with you all and thanks again to everyone who has continued to support the patreon, it means a tremendous amount to me - especially over these last few months.. Thank you so, SO much.

Update for what has been going on in my life

Hey all.. This is incredibly tough to type but here goes ;.;

For context, I've been taking care of my mom and having her live with me since she had a large brain tumor removed from her pituitary gland back in 2017. The operation tragically left her all but blind and rather frail and she has needed assistance to get by since then. In the past 5 years there's been ups and downs but starting early on in 2022 she has been on a very steady decline and needed more help than ever with things. We weren't sure if her medication just needed adjustments or what and sometimes it would seem she was getting better but then her condition would begin to deteriorate again :c 

Back in late August she was becoming -extremely- weak and was even having trouble breathing. I finally got her to agree to go to the hospital early in September once it got exceptionally bad and they soon discovered she had lung cancer and fluid on her lungs.

Once they drained the fluid through her back and she stabilized, she was temporarily transferred to a nursing facility to recover. While there, they treated her highly unprofessionally and when my Aunt came to see her they discovered she been left sitting on a toilet alone for hours without any help and developed occlusions in her leg. It took them almost 6 hours to get her back to the hospital and by that time they had to rush her to different hospital by helicopter to try and save her right leg. They didn't give us a choice of what hospital or even ask any of us before they did it and they ended up sending her to one that was over 3 hours away and in a different friggin state >.<

Using stints they were able to get blood flow back into her leg but sadly they were unable to save her toes and they had to be amputated. Had the crummy nursing home not dragged their feet I highly doubt it ever would have come to that and it was highly upsetting to say the least. Anyway, not long after that was over with she ended up having to be taken into the ICU. They discovered they needed to drain her lungs again and in fact they ended up needing to drain them so often that she ended up with permanent tube in her back to drain the fluids :c 

Her lungs continually filling up like that was extremely concerning to say the least and the doctors were then focused on trying to figure out exactly what was causing it next. After a while it was discovered that bits of what she would eat and drink was finding its way into her lungs (aspiration from dysphagia I believe is the proper term for it). So with that knowledge, the hospital reached out to the primary medical decision maker, my sister, to get the go ahead for them to start using a feeding tube on her and my sister agreed to it.

Once they found out, the rest of my family was very upset by this decision and felt like they should have had a say in the matter. My sister was just trying to let the doctors do what they thought was best, of course, but with the feeding tube in her it was now almost impossible to get her out of that hospital and back closer to home. Going to see her was about a 6 hour roundtrip and it was very hard on all of us to be there with her as much as we would have liked ;____;

My family was working hard on finding anywhere closer we could transfer her to that could accommodate the feeding tube situation but there was very, very few options. They even ended up sewing the tube into her stomach instead of putting it down her throat but she still hated it to say the least. She begged us to get her out of there and to take her home and we were trying our best. In her fragile state we couldn't risk going AMA (against medical advice) and taking her home ourselves. The last time my other, adopted, sister saw her and was able to be with her she just wanted her to hold her hand cause she thought she was gonna die soon and didn't wanna die alone...

The next morning I got the call that they were taking her back into the ICU and at 5:50pm that same day (October 30th) she passed away from cardiac arrest.

I was able to talk to her about what burial she wanted when fears of the worst happening started to really take hold. She made it very clear that not being cremated was her primary concern. Unfortunately, my mother didn't have any sort of life insurance or burial insurance to speak of. My sister paid for one month of insurance when things started to really go downhill but when we called the insurance company they're basically only willing to reimburse her the one payment.

The state is only willing to cover the costs of a cremation if we can prove she was indigent (she very much was) but she didn't want a cremation. The funeral home wanted almost 10,000 for a burial (they're wanting to charge us almost 2,000 just for bringing her back home from that other hospital, 3 dollars a mile + a transfer fee since the hospital put her in a funeral home in the other state temporarily). We went back to the funeral home and basically pleaded with them a couple of days later and they took pity on our situation and we got the cost of everything lowered to 7,500 at least.

With that being said, In the time since she passed away I've been extremely busy trying my best to do my part to do right by my mom and at least give her the burial that she wanted. She was suffering so much in the end and was so far away from her family that I'm just utterly beyond heartbroken. Thankfully with the help of a few wonderful people I've managed to come up with enough money to pay my part and we have officially got a date set for her funeral.

My mother was honestly the only person in my family that truly supported my artwork and didn't judge me for trying to make something of it. She kept so many of my drawings growing up and was always very supportive of my doing it. I would not still be here doing what I do without her. She also instilled in me a love for animals - there was so many dogs, cats and even baby birds she gave a home to in her lifetime. And of course she adopted one of my sister's as well even though she was never well off. She had a huge heart to say the least and I miss her terribly already.

It has been painfully difficult typing this up and I know it's lengthy but I want there to be transparency and to also explain why I've been so quiet and scarce. I'll try to be more social in the server and such again with the start of the new year at the latest. I super appreciate folks being understanding during this time for me and I hope all of you have been doing alright in the meantime.

Eabha - HD Rewards

Finished fully rendered commission for Eabha!

First off, I didn't expect there to be so many alts for this, but between almost every part of her outfit having two versions (open, closed, lifted, pulled down, etc) it kind of got away from me. Basically could have turned this commission into a dress up game with all the variants lol.

In the main folder I selected 4 versions I liked and that showed the variety in both the widescreen wallpaper format and the more standard cropped version. All the rest of the bonus content has been organized into folders and is available to any of you who'd like to check it out ^^

Additionally I've compiled all the content into a .zip file for those that just want all the content as conveniently as possible. As a heads up, it's a pretty big download but hopefully that isn't an issue! Speaking of, if there's any errors extracting try using 7zip or winrar ^^

Anyway this was a lot of fun to do and I'm glad to finally have it finished! Designing an Azodic for my good pal Eabha that was primarily based on/inspired by their original fursona was a fun challenge ^^ This whole thing basically started off as a fun what if that then evolved into my making them a ref for her that could also double as a pinup... And then of course she had to have a secretary outfit because Secretary Floof Butt is her title and all, hehe. And THEN we decided to make this piece somewhat mirror the debut pinup of Relta in a bed that I did (hence the cropped version to match that piece :3)... but yeah this really got away from me once again but it was a great learning experience, all in all. Thank you Eabha and everyone else for your patience! I look forward to tackling simpler, more timely projects for a while hehe.

Final WIP update for Eabha's Commission ^^

Hey all! Just wanted to share some final Work In Progress updates for Eabha's Fully Rendered Commission before it's officially completed (AHH it's so close).

There ended up being so many clothing variations and options for this piece it honestly probably could be turned into a dress up game, haha. Anywho, I wanted to share some soft shaded versions of those options with you all! I still need to add in the lifted version of the skirt but this should serve as a decent sampler of some of the options that will be available :3c

Next up is finishing the background, the highlighting and applying some other finishing touches and then we're all done!

The background is pretty far along at this point as can be seen here (preview is in grayscale since I am still tinkering with the colors) but I thought I'd share a cropped preview for that as well, I hope you all enjoy! Next post will be the fully colored, shaded and finished version with an absurd amount of alts lol ^^

Small adjustments to the ⭐ system going into next year

First off, a word from Autumn about her plans for the future:

"Hey everyone, 

I’ve started working full-time as a Ramp Agent for an airline contractor while I prepare to attend a part 147 school. I’m working on getting my certification to be an aircraft mechanic. So on that note, I won’t be doing commissions for a little while. Eventually I will open for one-at-a-time slots, as I know there were a couple people who had expressed an interest in getting work from me."

In addition to Autumn's new employment situation, we will also be making some changes to the star reward system. We’re trying to find a good balance between rewarding our patrons and keeping the workloads for commissions at a manageable amount.

So just a reminder that the star reward system is and has been a work in progress. We appreciate your patience as we figure out what works best for ourselves and patrons. 

With that being said, here are the coming changes to the Star reward system and what you can expect over the next year:

• 1. Star prices for the multiple character commission options have been updated while soft shaded solos have been left the same.
  
  Originally, I had thought I'd priced the options so that simpler solo pinups would be the main option for folks to go for (and indeed that was the goal) but out of all the people who have secured commissions spots only a single one of them opted for this option lol. I still want people who really really want me to draw multiple characters or a full blown commission to have a chance at it but it needs to be far less common. I just can't keep up with demand as things were and ultimately I hope that this change actually allows for me to produce more art for all of you while keeping the queue reasonable.
  ㅤ
• 2. Bonus Stars are being done away with outside of awarding one to the three patrons who are most active each month in our Discord server.
  
  As it stands, the extra stars people were earning was becoming a bit problematic in terms of how much it boosted star income. Plus, it essentially allowed for people to just buy stars and I honestly wanna keep them primarily as a thank you from us/a loyalty reward for people supporting us over time.
  
  We greatly appreciate folks boosting the discord server but we do want it to feel more optional. We will be implementing a new separate and noticeable server role and color for boosters as a show of our gratitude for those who continue to boost and we may think of other perks later down the line ^^

Everyone who has already secured their commission slots will be unaffected by these changes and these adjustments will just influence the star currency going forward. Basically, $ prices themselves have not been adjusted, only the star costs to secure a slot. Additionally, no one will have lost any of the stars they've already earned, so no worries there either~

We may make further changes down the line depending on how things work out but this system will be what's in place at least until the end of next year ^^

Maxxy Quetzalcoatl Commission HD Rewards

Hey everyone! I finished up this commission for Maxxy of his dragon OC as a Quetz. I had a lot of fun working on the background for this one too. It’s simple but I love how the high atmosphere effect turned out ^^

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share this cute chibi splash commission of our favorite floof butt secretary with you all!
:3 I got it done a few days ago, and it’s time to post ^^

Eabha’s got everything under control, don’t worry :D There’s a fire and both phones are ringing, but she can handle it. Look at that smile!

WIP Updates Round Up!

Hey everyone! Amyth here.
I just wanted to make a post here sharing some updates and previews of what Autumn and I are currently working on ^^

First off is the solo shaded sketch version of Eabha's commission (and design update) of their dragon as an Azodic!

Background and more will come once her colors are finished, I just wanted her to have some sort of reference to work with first, haha. But yeah, plenty of alts are planned for Secretary Floof Butt here ^_~

Next up is another piece featuring Eabha but in chibi style and drawn by Autumn!

Autumn's commentary: "I made a few tweaks to her after final changes to her design were decided upon, and I added a juice box :3"

Next up is a bit of a tease - a silhouette preview for the winner of the last Rule 34 poll - Siveth from Dragonheart: Vengeance!

I'm really pleased with the general idea and composition I decided upon for this piece and I'm excited to get the rest of her details and such added in. I look forward to sharing the full sketch of her with you all in the next update :3c

Following that theme, here's another teasy preview I decided to whip up real quick for another piece that will feature Autumn and I having a good time while being dressed up >:3c

I find making these silhouettes fun and useful for composition purposes and hopefully you all get a kick out of seeing them too - feel free to let us know if you do! ^^

Last but not least, is a couple more commission updates from Autumn featuring Zephyr's Avali, Raku and Maxxy drawn as a quetzalcoatl~

I finished my rule34 pinup of Dragon from Shrek!
She’s lounging in her lair while Donkey is off on one of his adventures with Shrek. What’s a lonely dragoness gunna do to kill time? ;3

Seriously though, I really had fun playing around with her colors, especially her makeup effects ^^
I really tried to capture her face and her round body. And I included an alternate version with tiddies!
She’s Amyth’s favorite, so I wanted to do a version that’s right up his alley >;3
