I have revisited painting motion blur by hand.  It’s not as good as a Gimp effect but it’s quite inconvienent to prepare the file for Gimp for a single effect, and with enough practice it would be an extremely useful skill to be able to paint good motion blur.

VG Development - Bug Possession Mechanic Test 1

The basic foundations are almost 100% stable.  I am finally able to possess a npc from any angle without messing up the controls of the host.  In my previous test video, when the cylinder was possessed, it had to be from exactly behind or else the controls would not be aligned with the host npc.

Still needs animations.  I don't want to release the first playable version without animations, that is how important I think they are.  It will have basic animations for the fastes...

I was gonna use a softer brighter pink for the undies but as I was zoning in on that color, this color appeared and looked even better for this situation.

I'm experimenting with less symetrical/geometric paneling. This arrangement is more natural. You'll see a part of the timelapse where I arrange the different image sizes and placements.

Video Game Development - Possession Mechanic Test 1

I wanted this to be a well lit scene, so the comic panels have white borders. I imagined this is how the girl wants her bathroom lit, and this hints that the scene takes place at night. Naturally we assume predators hunt at night, and that gives us some context into the nature of this parasite-woman relationship. She is a sort of prey for this creature.

In the timelapse video youÂ’ll see early on I use a lot of bright red. This is to see areas that need light colors. Before with a white background I would miss a lot of spots that needed light color because it was hard to tell if it was colored or not against the white background. It was a success, but it hurt my eyes. IÂ’ll just have to use it more periodically.
