Just wanted to do something kinda rough to try out some things for rendering fur. I've been trying to figure out what the best balance is for how much detail to put into fur texture, particularly on large, smooth areas like thighs, bellies, etc. While working on the Warning illustration (will be up in a day or two) I've been feeling my current approach is a little too noisy, so I'm trying a softer approach, just focusing on the edges, like borders between fur colours and terminators of shadow...

Just going out for a quick bite!
I've been chipping away at this between commissions since the start of the month. I was getting worried I wouldn't have it done by today, but here she is! I did a lot of experimenting with rendering her fur on this one. I'm trying to find a balance that has all those nice details yet is not too noisy or tedious to paint, particularly with the tail and areas with shorter fur.
