I've had a little trouble with the Juno Illustration, gone through a lot of different sketches. I've finally settled on one I like and still should be able to get it done before the end of the month. Third Twitter speedpaint I forgot to post before.

I had too much fun with this. Spent longer on this than the other ones (probably about 3 hours, which is about as much time as I'd want to spend on something that isn't a full illustration) but still trying not to get caught up in endless detailing.

It's actually pretty liberating to be able to produce something of this standard so quickly. I'm not gonna retire full illustrations but I'd like to put a lot more focus on rougher stuff like this and the previous speedpaints.

Quick kinda experimental things featuring random characters from Twitter followers. Both came in in a bit under 2 hours of solid work each. With the second I tried to make the painterly look more prominent but I think I could have done better in that regard.

I'm going to keep experimenting with these. I'm hoping to be able to offer commission like this in future, as the fully rendered stuff is a bit too time consuming for regular commissions.

Sketches #42

Random sketches, plus a one hour speed/sketch thing. I want to make an effort to do more like this in future. Full renders are pretty time consuming and most of it is spent in tiny details. Being able to rapidly do pieces that focus on the most important aspects an dispense with all the fluff (literal and figurative) is probably going to help my learning a lot more than spending the better part of a week etching out details that most people probably wont even notice.

Okay, I have to be honest here: I'm not really happy with this one. I sort of rushed into it after changing the sketches last minute as I mentioned in the last sketch post. There are parts I like and a lot I don't and I don't think there's much I can do beyond redoing a good portion of it, but I really just want to be done with this one and not have to start over again. You can't win them all.

There will be a little bonus thing posted shortly to make up for it.

Upcoming Patreon Changes

I'd like to overhaul how this patreon over the next month or so. It's largely going to be more or less the same for current patrons, with some added content.

There are a few things I've been thinking about:

-Return of early access to illustrations. This would be for all patrons, $1 patrons getting web res versions and $5 patrons getting highres. I'm thinking of a month before illustrations go public, save for maybe a cropped/sfw alt as a teaser. This would not apply to commissione...
