I decided to change up my schedule a bit and not hop around between projects so much, just focus on one thing at a time so I could have this finished more than a couple days before the month ends. I really love this wolf, I'm glad I got a chance to do another painting of her. It's been a good few years since the last one.

Feels like I haven't posted art in a bit. I'm working on stuff, including more than what I'm showing here. I've got a bad habit getting distracted by new ideas so I've got a little backlog of things that are halfway done. I don't usually like posting too many WIPs because I feels like it kinda spoils the finals but I've got so much in progress stuff on at the moment I feel like y'all deserve something.

The first one here will be the next YCH I'm going to work on, there's a little update...

I've been without power for the last few days due to storm damage. Didn't stop me from drawing though. Can't say I recommend drawing by candlelight but I will admit there's a nice atmosphere to it. Thankfully I didn't lose too much time. It was basically just a forced long weekend. Also got a couple things I was working on before/after the outage.

I went light on the alts this time. I've been a little burned out on illustrations lately and this one was kinda challenging. Bee's got a lot of bits to her design that were kind of tricky. Her midriff, hair and tail were surprisingly challenging to get the material right for. I've never really tackled I was trying to make the hair part look like flowing honey and the tail like a lava lamp, neither of which are materials I've attempted before. I...

Getting back into the species thing. I didn't even know brown hyenas were a thing until someone suggested one. I also had a go at some dogs (and fem Vortex), some practice with interesting poses/angles and gestures.
