Crumbling Farm, Expert

Hi Experts! This is the Crumbling Farm (30x40), a crossroad on a farm with some old ruins nearby though not necessarily the farmer's house, it could be some old buildings that no one bothered to maintain, so don't think you need to populate this map with farmer ghosts. I mean, you can (and should?) but it's not required.

Your alternate versions of this map are Rainy and Sunny! This is a new attempt at making Rainy maps, featuring a stronger rain effect layered on top which I think look...

Haunted Hollow

I'm back again! This one is the Haunted Hollow (40x45), a big haunted forest map which also happens to be the last of my paternity maps. That's right, from here on out I'll be back to making brand new maps again, meaning you probably shouldn't expect to see any more 'haunted' maps for quite some time as I'm sure many of you will be very pleased to hear. That also means that, starting next month, I'll be back to making 4 maps a month like I was before I started preparing for my 3 month paterni...

Haunted Hollow, Adept

This is the Haunted Hollow (40x45), a nice and big forest map with all the usual 'haunted' trimmings- dead trees, plenty of fog, and the classic spooky colors and lighting that we've all come to love. At least, that's how the map is now. This is the final paternity map I prepared and set aside so I could take a few months off, though it isn't the final one because I planned it that way, it's the last because I couldn't let myself post it before now due to it needing a little.. extra attention...

Hi Experts! This week's map is the Haunted Hollow (40x45), another pleasant stretch of haunted forest with a concerning prop somewhere within. This one has a big ring of stones with no discernible purpose, so perhaps assume the worst- it's a portal to an identical forest that's 10% more haunted.

Your alternate variants of this map are Unhaunted and Grim! The Unhaunted one speaks for itself- it's nice now! The Grim version similarly speaks for itself- it's worse now! I actually used Ash ...

Infested Caverns

Hello again, everyone! This map is the Infested Caverns (40x40), a lovely little cave that brings to mind Cragmaw Hideout from Lost Mine of Phandelver. Then again, I think any forest cave with a little stream flowing out the entrance usually invokes the Cragmaw Hideout (especially considering it's probably the most well-known map in DnD). Either way, I don't have many good cave maps with terrain outside the entrance, so I think this map will be nicely useful for forest-y adventures.

Infested Caverns, Adept

Welcome back folks- this one is the Infested Caverns (40x40), a pleasantly complex cluster of caves and tunnels somewhere in the forest. The downside is it's got a concerning amount of big bug eggs, but you're stronger than some bug.. right? Just grab a really big newspaper and give it a smack!

1. Nice little sketch, huh? I didn't make many big changes anywhere along the way, though if you look...

Infested Caverns, Expert

I'm back again, this time with a nice cave map, the Infested Caverns (40x40)! This one has lots of space for multiple encounters, giving you room to lead up to a bigger fight, probably with a big spider.

Your alternate versions of this map are Enchanted and Subdued, 2 maps on opposite ends of the vibrancy spectrum. The Enchanted one I think gives the map a very funky energy, like there's some wacky magic at play in this cave that maybe has had an effect on the bugs living inside. On th...

Haunted Forest Camp

Hello again, folks! This map is the Haunted Forest Camp (30x35), a stretch of forest with a series of ledges leading down to a small creek, a lovely location for a small camp. At least, it would be if the forest wasn't so dang spooky, but there's nothing you can do about that, right?

Haunted Forest Camp, Adept

Hello there, Adepts! This one is the Haunted Forest Camp (30x35), because eventually everyone has to take a long rest. The question is, what happened to the people who made this camp and why did they leave everything behind?

On an unrelated note, here's an Enchanted version of the map with lots of Fey colors and lighting, how enchanting!

 1. I've had variations of this map bumping around f...

Haunted Forest Camp, Expert

Hello there, Experts and Masters! This one is the Haunted Forest Camp (30x35), a bit of the Haunted Forest with lots of verticality to play around with. As for the camp, perhaps your players stumble across another group here in the middle of a creepy, misty wood, probably good people I'm sure. Or maybe the camp is fully set up but there aren't any people in sight, just signs of them. But that's not anything to worry about, they probably just stepped away to go pee in a bush or something, righ...

Haunted Forest Trail

Hello again, folks! This map is the Haunted Forest Trail (40x40), a classic forest map with a spooky ambiance. In particular, this map is especially classic in that it contains no major centerpieces, it's simply a regular stretch of forest with plenty of small ledges, nooks, and crannies to complicate things. Simple but fleshed out, I think, and so I hope you get lots of use out of it!

Haunted Forest Trail, Adept

I'm back again with another map, the Haunted Forest Trail (40x40)- a classically straightforward forest map. This one has no temples, giant skeletons, or ruins, it just has a little path, a little stream, and a few little ledges, ideal for fighting a handful of bandits or maybe a pack of wolves- you know, classic forest baddies.

Side note: bonus variant! That stream seemed a little too tranquil for me, so now it's full of blood and now the ball's in your court.

Haunted Forest Trail, Expert

Hi Experts and Masters! This week's map is the Haunted Forest Trail (40x40), a map that makes you say "Yup, that's a forest!", featuring a path, a stream, and several trees of multiple sizes. Will this be the map you use for the final battle of your campaign? No, but I bet most campaigns will pass through a forest at some point, in which case you might just fight some bad guys by a stream, it strikes me as fairly likely.

Also, note that I had to split the PSD into 2 parts again, but I ...

Haunted Henge

This week's map is the Haunted Henge (40x50), a large haunted forest map culminating in a crumbling henge with a basin of water at the center. I imagine this would be a perfect place for a circle of druids to gather and perform rituals for adventurers to interrupt, or perhaps it could be the perfect place for the adventurers to perform rituals of their own, helping an ancient druid/forest spirit/guardian treant to cleanse some evil from the forest. Of course, someone has to fend off those evi...

Haunted Henge, Adept

This week's map is the Haunted Henge (40x50), a map made for druidic rituals deep in the forest! Now, I'm just an innocent mapmaker who doesn't pick sides, so whether your party is for or against druidic rituals is completely up to them and their DM. But, just in case they're as neutral as I am, your alternate version looks a fair bit spookier than the original with an eerily glowing pool in the middle, so maybe that'll push them one way or another.

Haunted Henge, Expert

This week's map is the Haunted Henge (40x50), the fated return to haunted maps as I got back through my pre-made paternity maps! This bad boy is the perfect stage for full-on druidic combat, with staves flying, brown robes' sleeves rolled up to the elbow, long white beards thrown over shoulders so they don't get in the way (or yanked).

Your alternate versions of this map are Veiled and Verdant! I was really cooking back when I made this map 6 months ago, because Veiled is a wacky name...

Lighthouse Ruins

Hello again, everyone! This week's map is the Lighthouse Ruins (40x40), a somewhat spooky departure from the Underdark maps I've been releasing recently. As I'm on paternity leave, the maps you've seen recently were made and put aside several months ago, which means we've finally progressed through all the Underdark maps I've premade and will now be going back in time through a series of Haunted maps once again!

Glancing through them I think they are some of my personal favorites from ...

Lighthouse Ruins, Adept

This week's map is the Lighthouse Ruins (40x40), a rare island map with a spooky theme (as I warned we'd eventually return to)! That's great, but sometimes you would rather your islands remain free of undead so your alternate version of this one is tropical instead of haunted, perhaps more fitting if you're planning on taking a vacation here rather than fighting off pirate ghosts.

 1. Well, the ...

Hello there, Experts/Masters! This week's map is the Lighthouse Ruins (40x40), marking my fated return to Haunted maps as I've gone through all the Underdark ones I made for my paternity leave. This bad boy is a nicely self-contained spooky island, full of hidey holes and little spots for you to cram full of pirate skeletons, just the kind of place that villagers tell rumors about or players can glimpse through the fog.

Mushroom Cave

This week's map is the Mushroom Cave (30x35), a small cave packed with giant mushrooms and little else beyond a few twists, turns, and crags to jam yourself into. It's easy to image fights against Myconids here, but perhaps other horrible cave creatures gather here for fresh water, the usual giant bugs of course but all the other terrible eldritch things with lots of tentacles all need to grab a drink eventually... much like adventurers.

Mushroom Cave, Adept

Hi again, Adepts! This one is the Mushroom Cave (30x35), a nice cave map with a single entrance, great for capping off random tunnels your players happen to stumble down if, perhaps, they encountered the Forked Tunnel from a few weeks back and failed to choose the correct direction via failed checks or failing to catch your clues (it happens to all of us). Either way, it's just nice to have extra locations that don't necessarily lead into anything else, so I expect many of you will find plent...

Hello folks- this is the Mushrooms Cave (30x35), a small cave with a bit of standing water and as you can see there's a bit of a fungus problem unfolding. Your quest is to get in there with a wet-dry vac and clear it up a bit and, when you're finished, run an extension cord in there and set up a dehumidifier.

Your alternate versions of this map are Enchanted and Subuded! I made these a few months back, so the palettes are a little different than my more recent Underdark maps, but I sti...

Underdark Cove

I'm back again for this week's map, the Underdark Cove (35x35)! This one is a lovely, shadowy underground cavern with lots of glowing mushrooms in the middle clearing, narrow corridors to the east and west, and a few small islands in the flooded southern section. In short, this map has a nice grab-bag of different environments and should easily make for very varied combats!

Underdark Cove, Adept

I'm back this week with the Underdark Cove (35x35), a small underground bay map that's a little more complex than many of my recent maps, featuring a decent stretch of water, narrow tunnels, and mushroom groves. In fact, nearly everything here would work pretty nicely in a swampy environment (if you can explain away the cave walls), so I whipped up a swampy variant for you! Perhaps this is just a particularly swampy cave, or maybe it's found underneath a massive stone archway, but either way ...

Hello again, folks! This week's map is the Underdark Cove (35x35), a shadowy bay full of giant glowing mushrooms- it feels to me like a sort of Underdark crossroads to me, or at least a place where you can encounter many different factions either passing through the tunnels or heading to the water.

Your alternate versions of this one are Shadowfell and Bioluminescent! The Shadowfell version just felt right here as it gave the map a spooky and magical vibe that I enjoyed, especially alo...

Forked Tunnel

Hello again, folks! This week's map is the Forked Tunnel (30x30), one of those classically simple maps which are usually my favorites and, I suspect, some of the more useful ones. This one is for when your party needs to make a decision when traveling down a long and winding tunnel, perhaps fighting a few wandering enemies before they continue on their way. Am I overexplaining this? It's a tunnel and you've got 3 directions to pick from, go nuts.

Forked Tunnel, Adept

Hi Adepts! This week's map is the Forked Tunnel (30x30), a simple concept but one I haven't made a map of before so I suppose there's a time for everything. Your alternate version here is Stark, which you've seen before, but I really just wanted to make a version that felt more like a typical, dreary cave than the glowy phosphorescent original version. Not flashy, but I figured it'll give you something different to work with depending on the vibe of your campaign.

Underdark Basin, Adept

I'm back! this map is the Underdark Basin (35x35), a pool where 2 streams seem to meet and therefore drain somewhere in the center.. so a deathtrap for unwary swimmers.
