Man, it's been a while! Sorry about that. Turns out moving to Canada is very time consuming! ANYWAY here are some good albums for you to listen to:
Darkstar- Foam Island
Electro-pop in the vein of Junior Boys and Hot Chip, about the slow decay of northern England. Sad but pretty, very very nice listen.
Benjamin Damage- Obsidian
Chunky, thumpy techno that's melodic enough to enjoy at less-than-punishing volumes.

German electronic musician Dave DK has a new album out called "Val Maira" and I simply cannot stop listening to it. It's got the 4/4 beat of techno but a bloomed-out, sparkling sound design and a wonderful sense of melody that you don't often see in dance music these days. If you're a fan of The Field, Pantha Du Prince, or Christian Löffler, you owe it to yourself to check out this record ASAP.
