Work on the next update has been coming along quite well. The script is mostly done, except for a last few touches.

The art for it is also coming along, though I think it's aiming to be bigger than I had first expected it to be, but excited so far about where it's heading.

The Release of V0.2.9

Content for v0.2.9

Most of the new content focusses on expanding the Marion-route, which previously ended whenever the option to marry him was selected. Now, the route is expanded to include several sex scenes as well as setting up some of the earlier conflicts that will unfold in future updates.

Sketchwork and deadlines

So, for this week I thought I'd show off some of the amazing sketchwork that went into laying the foundation for the previous update. This is only a part of it, but I think it gives a pretty good insight into just how many different approaches there are, visually, to the same kind of scene. Content for v0.1.9

This new update is mostly focused on expanding the Tribes-storyline. Specifically, it does so by continuing the existing story, as well as setting up some of the storylines that will be expanded on more later.

Concretely, the major branches that you can explore in this new update are:

Release Date for V0.1.9

With the Steam release behind me, it's already time to keep looking ahead to the next milestone!

Celebrating Early Access on Steam

Today is a pretty big milestone for myself and the development of TSSR, because today the Early Access for TSSR went live on Steam!

Starting January of last year, I launched the very first public version of TSSR. Since then, I went on from publishing it for free, to promoting it on platforms like Patreon, Itch and now even the massive platform that is Steam.

Looking ahead to v0.1.9

Up above is a new artwork meant to fill in the existing black screens in the game. This one specifically deals with Sarah and Razaphel's potential 2nd encounter, where she taunts him. I always liked the scene for how it shows Sarah flipping the script on a partner, and I think the piece does a great job of capturing that. This should be included in the game properly, starting with the next update.

This new update focusses on expanding the Mage-route. This update has been quite a bit of fun to produce, because whereas the previous update was quite linear, with limited variations, this update is pretty broad, so you actually have a lot of different routes to take. Sketching it out

I like to try and release most updates feature complete, meaning they offer a complete story and supporting artwork.

Release of v0.80

Ahead of schedule again, breaking personal records!

The new update further expands on the warrior-storyline, seeing Sarah arrive at the city of Nauyziri, deep in the desert, far beyond civilization. This update is quite sizeable, coming out to about 50k words in total, as well as around 20 cg's, not counting variants.

Progress Update v0.80

Here's a quick update on the current progress on the next update for the game; v0.80 further expanding the warrior-storyline.

The first draft of the work is finished. Right now, my main focus is part editing and part doing the last tests to make sure everything works. The last piece of art should soon be ready, at which point the update will be art-complete as well.

Progress on the next update has been coming along quite well, being very close to art complete now. The first initial draft is almost finished (save for a scene or two). Testing has been taking a bit more time than usual, but that is to be expected the more we go down particular storylines, given that the amount of differing variables keep inevitably growing and growing. Looking at the outcome, not unsurprisingly, the Tribes-route came out as the most popular route by far. I'll be making some changes in my schedule for next year to try and see if I can get an update to that route at the start of the year, which should be doable.

Polling mid/small stories for 2023

So, earlier this week I made the poll for the major storylines to help me with planning out 2023. While all the storylines got some support, it's definitely the Princess-route that seems to have gotten a lot of support. Also a surprising higher than expected support for the continuation of the Rahayal story, so I'll move some thing around there too.

The release of v0.70 went quite well. I think the newly added main-art and music have gone a long way in polishing up some of the rougher edges. The reception also seems to have been pretty popular despite I think the route being a little more niche than most of the other routes, so that was very positive to see!

Release of v0.70

The release of v0.70 represents a slightly smaller update than usual, giving me the space needed to work on the upcoming 2 larger-than-usual releases in the upcoming months.

One of the many ways in which Sarah's differing stories are visually represented are her many different outfits. The major ones we've seen, her traditional princess outfit, warrior outfit, mage outfit etc.
