The quest select screen bug was a result of Workshop beta files ending up in 1.7, instead of the 1.8 testing area where they belong. They've been removed and re-uploaded.
Please re-download 1.7 at your leisure :)

Reworked the Crimson Duos. They now check for a cursed heroine before choosing whether or not to launch their grab move. This took a lot more effort than I thought.
Added a new skill to crimson cockrider and crimson cocksucker that checks for the curse.
Renamed crimson duo's grab skills.

(LONG POST WARNING. TL;DR: 1.7 is delayed until I fix a softlock that occurs because Darkest Dungeon's AI is weird and particular.)
Hey lovelies! The bug is persisting. My patch simply made it significantly less likely to occur - but still entirely possible. That's not good enough for me.

1.7 has been updated with the following fixes:
Corrected a rare softlock that could occur if a crimson enemy is the only enemy remaining in the battle, and it attempts to use its grab move an a heroine without the crimson curse. It is a very specific scenario, but it was made more common by the way players try to leave captor enemies until last so they can see the animations. The good news is that using Patreon as a tool for folks to help me beta test the mod before public releases works completely.
The bad news is that I have to delay the public release a little until I can get a hotfix out. I don't like having severe softlocks / crashes in public releases, and these test updates help me weed them out!

Hey lovelies. I've received a couple reports of a softlock when one of the new Crimson enemies fails to find a target for her grab attack.
This is a result of the game calling for a grab attack while no heroine with the Crimson Curse is present.
Have you encountered this bug?

So, 2025 is going well so far! The 1.6 Goblin Invasion update was super awesome and warmly received - which I love y'all for. No notes there.

Usually I like to keep everything strictly behind closed doors until there's something to be shown, but here's what's being worked on for the 1.8 Workshop Update so far:

So 1.7 is almost where I want it to be. It was always going be a smaller update than 1.6.
However, 1.8 is going to be a HUGE addition. An entire region with lots of new enemies, lots of new trinkets, lots of new quests, lots of new systems.
What I'm trying to say is that once the smaller 1.7 public update drops the next public release isn't gonna be for a whiiiiile. Patreon releases will still be coming thick and fast though!
