Over the last week I've been playing around with new lighting set for more realistic daytime scenes - this is the opposite of the super contrast tentacle test posted earlier. Turned out ok I think, most of the light is backlit with enough ambient lighting to make it believable.

I've been pretty busy over the last few months working on other things not Patreon related. A lot of the pictures you may have seen have been all over the place. I do that for a reason, it's to assess what people gravitate towards and prefer. So far the most popular is the Witchcraft in Salem series. So that'll be the topic for the next story.

I saw a dress a while ago in a photo and tried to replicated it in 3D. Of course, none of the vendors had anything close to it so I had to cobble together parts from separate clothing. The textures were all wrong too so I had to create my own shaders and textures.
I'm done with clothing design for now, so getting back into creating more poses and peril settings.

Back when I was in high school, some chick came to school wearing white thigh high stockings and black mary janes. I think some admin must have told her it was too "offensive" because she never did it again. Anyways, i tried to model this outfit to be somewhere in between cute and slutty.

Made a new environment for activities. The light version might be good for testing poses and textures to see how they'll reflect in sunlight. The dark version - I'm sure you can imagine what the dark version will be used for. Other than that made some minor model adjustments.

I feel every once in a while I need to reshape her body ever so slightly and render in different lighting.
This time around I reduced head size slightly, narrowed waist, increased hips. It's probably difficult to tell cause we're dealing with 3-4% changes at most. But hey at least the shoes are different now.

The previous background I made worked better with tentacles but had too many polys for it to render correctly, so I made a smaller one that actually works this time. Dungeon looks pretty damp - we can fit a lot of devices in there.

I customized an outfit to go with the usual lingerie. Getting the textures and morphs right on the dress was a nightmare and a half, but turned out ok after much experimentation.

I finally got around to playing with dForce in DAZ. It's kinda like the Unreal engine in that it takes into account gravity, wind, materials to provide collisions - but instead of being in real-time, it takes 10 minutes of processing for one piece of clothing to fall into place.
In application it means that longer dresses, sleeves, and chemises can finally be posed without them looking strange - providing a more realistic render. The community hasn't gotten around to applying dFor...

Unlike some artists, I don't make poses or pictures in batches. I make each pose or picture individually and on the day of posting. While this seems benign, it is a benefit to the community (you!).
This dynamic way of creation allows creative input from the community that can drive what happens in stories. So for example if you want to see a story or a pose go a certain way, now you would be able to control that through polls. Don't like hardcore bondage? Don't vote for it. Want the next...

Finished tinkering around with last bits of accessories and materials. I tried to add more stuff but decided to keep it relatively simple due the nature theme. Next up lets take her out of the dungeon for the usual conservative photoshoot. So I got these newer shoes for even more money. I imported the ballet outfit from G3 and it was a huge pain to rig everything up. Anyways, I guess outfits are OK at model posing but not really all that great at ... other types of poses, so I probably ditched it later.

I started tackling some of the issues I mentioned in previous posts. Got most of them straightened out but that's how it is sometimes. The most annoying thing with creating a new body type would be trying to get generic poses to fit.

Here's a closer look at her face. When I first imported Minto into DAZ there were a lot of things that were off. Skin textures were too dark and didn't reflect the promo pics. Face shape was too long with and overextended jaw/chin. The freckle skin didn't work with makeup versions so I had to manually go in photoshop and layer them on. It actually ended up being a bit too dark - it's good for playing around with shadows but ended up darker than I expected. I stayed with Genesis 3 for a bit, but found some of the morphs and dials either incorrect or limiting. Rarestone recently released his character Minto, so I thought I might as well upgrade from 3 to 8. Overall I found the dials easier to play around with.
