February 2022 Sketchbook

I actually struggled this month and thought I was going to end up with a tiny sketchbook, but I ended up getting back into the groove in the last week or so and drew a lot so it turned out regular sized hahaha. Satyr & Human Society Relations

All right, I promised I'd make a post about this eventually, so lets get into it... here is my explanation of SATYR GENDER. To be clear, I'm talking about this from the perspective of the fictional human society in the story, which is a relatively new society that's been dealing with immediate threats since its conception (Trying to avoid spoilers haha) and they haven't exactly had a long time to think deeply about concepts of gender etc.

If you follow my twitter you’ve already seen these, but if not, here’s my comics for HCD this year! I think last year I just included them with my end of month sketchbook but I thought this year it would be fun to give it its own post!
HCD is a weird one because I don’t usually draw any auto-bio style comics and tend to like to keep my personal life private/off of the internet lmao but I always have a lot of fun drawing for it, and its really cool to be able to look back at past one...

January 2022 sketchbook

Sketchbook time!! Played around with some new OCs for fun at the start of the month, and then pretty much all Sparks stuff for the rest! The final page is sci-fi boy and has body horror, but I’ve put a warning page ahead of it so you can just stop there if you want 👍

Prequel mini update- sketches

Since I finished 15 pages of the comic early this month, I spent some time getting the prequel mini sketched! Thought I’d share the first 12 pages as a little update, saving the rest so some of it at least is more of a surprise when it’s finished 😛 

It’s been a bit of a struggle- kids are really hard to draw LOL I didn’t expect it to be such a challenge! It’s difficult to try and keep them looking consistent, but I think at this point I have to just go for it and hope ...

2021 year in review

Wow! 2021 huh! Did that really happen? It feels like I was just making my end of year stuff for 2020 lmao.. was this year real.. did anything happen… why covid why 😭 

Well, similarly to 2020- while everything else was shit, Sparks actually did really well! It became an early access series on Tapas which has been great for me, and we’ve nearly hit 30k subscribers now which is super exciting- a few of the comics I really look up to/aspire to on Tapas have around 30k subscriber...

SPACE KNIGHTS- WIP overview
