Shinobu Model v4

This includes the Blender 2.8 file for my Shinobu model. It includes the DEV and EXPORT versions of the model. The export version is used for the game while the DEV is used to build the body. Some parts of the model like the hands are only rigged in the EXPORT version.

Vacation Time

I will be out of town from Thursday to Sunday as part of my yearly vacation (half of it). Yesterday I uploaded v0.55.2 hotfix for the game which provided lots of stability for the new sleeping mechanics. It is very stable and thus it will probably be the last update for v0.55 itself.

Finalizing Sleeping Mechanics

As stated before, Shinobu will wake up with enough poking. I just didn't poke her enough times in the YouTube video. There is a new sleeping mechanic that affects her mood.

If Shinobu has a good night's sleep, she will wake up happy. If you bothered her at night, she will wake up angry. Beta v0.55b Pre-Release

This beta addresses the issues with SteamVR. It has finally been fixed and should work properly. You can now map your buttons using SteamVR Input interface and not have any weird glitches within the game.

There is a new feature that needs testing, ambience! You can cycle between Morning, Day, and Night using the Pause Menu button. Or you can wait as it changes by itself in 10 minute cycles.

The past few days I've received tons of new sound assets to include into the game. They include new sound effects for when gestures are activated, to ambience, to new music pieces! You can check out a sample of the WIP night theme attached below.

Beginning Day and Night Cycle

v0.5 was really fun. There are some users starting to get comfortable using the clothing customizer. I hope more do moving forward.

Keeping the train rolling we roll into the sleeping behavior which was supposed to be part of v0.5 but did not make it in time. This will allow Shinobu to sleep on the bed. Polishing Before Release Part 1

There are only a few things left to add before the full release next Saturday! I am now carefully tweaking and polishing existing features. There are a few new things in the works.

To start off, Shinobu's skin and clothing shaders have been improved to catch light better. Originally I liked the idea of Shinobu looking toon and her clothes looking realistic but over time I saw that she looked better if her clothing was also toon.

Finished Clothing Customization

Clothing Customization has been completed. There is a video demonstration above this devpost. The system came out well and it is in dire need of testing. That said it is pretty stable as a Beta v0.5d for Supporter Tiers. I have opened up #clothing-cards in the Discord where you can share and download other people's cards.
