Make sure the microphone is the right way round, esp if it is one with good noise rejection.
I didn't and my first four Orchid Audio audios are fucked.
Double check the microphone and do a test recording before you record your roleplays.
So audios on Friday and I am now going to and label every fucking microphone I own.
