Bad End Elayne...

Elayne's reached her bad end, but first she'll have to work and prove herself worthy enough to join the Vampire Queen's harem of vampire thrall babes.

A pretty quick sketch, but one that definitely has the potential to be a much more ambitious piece. Multiple figures, some sense of space, shape diversity. Almost definitely not something I could realistically pursue unless I made an effort to focus on finished pieces, so if you have not shared your thoughts in my recent 2018-10-19 19:18:37 +0000 UTC View Post

p-p-poe rinku!

Something I threw together during last night's stream. It's not the Poe-Link I would've liked to draw, but I was pretty tired last night. I figured tackling on the graphic element of using negative space would be kinda cool.

High-Quality Illustrations vs. Quickly-Produced Sketches

Just touching base with you all.

As many of you know, whenever I'm considering plans for the Patreon, especially if it involves a shift in direction, I try to involve you and get your feedback. Your thoughts are very important to me, and you are a very big part of the Patreon experience.

For a while now, I've mentioned wanting to create more impressive works of art, such as high-quality illustrations, landscapes, and even comics. However, as I'm sure you know, all of those endea...

it's getting breezy

It's starting to get cold and I've had to lower my fan's temperature volume from high to low. I wish I had more clothes for the season, perhaps I should buy a bunch of sweaters. I remember talking about how I didn't have any clothes to keep warm LAST year too, haha.

I've been a bit quiet lately - at least I think I've been, as I haven't really drawn in a few days. I'm trying to spend a lot of time taking it easy to avoid burn out, and thinking about what directions to move the Patreon towards....

How do you feel about my Patreon?

Just checking on how everyone is feeling about being a patron of mine. I know that newer patrons are likely going to be less familiar with the quality of the service compared to older ones, but I like to touch base with you all the same.

I try my very best to offer the best service I possibly can, and I'm always open to hearing how I can improve it for you.

If you have deeper thoughts, especially if you are actually disappointed, please do share them with me so that I can take them into ...

the groodo shoe is on the other foot now

This, fortunately, came out better than I was expecting it to. I put together the sketch and didn't much care for it, but it came together once the colours were applied.

It's a Link dressed as Ganon kidnapping a Zelda. This was more fun than Link previously thought it might, no wonder Ganon's a massive jerk.

I've been trying to take it easy the last few days. I'm intending to spend some thought thinking about adjustments and improving myself. In the mean time...

[Patron-Only Feed] Stuff & Things and Things & Stuff

This was a slower week, so it seems like there's another Patron-Only Feed post so soon after the last one. I'm pretty tired though, so I don't know how much more I'm getting done this week. There were some additional things posted through the Dropbox, so don't forget to check that out if you've got access to it. View Post

Here's a fairly quick sketch, but a cool concept. Elayne Beaumont doin' the steppy thing to Psudonym's portrayal of Cassandra Cain. Pretty cool stuffs, but nothing to write home about. I streamed for a few hours late last night, but I was pretty tired, so I didn't do anything particularly involved. I wish I did more things involved.

I seldom emphasize the dominatrix traits of Elayne, so it was definitely cool to play with ...

Oh wow, Patreon's interface changed slightly. Not sure if that's something you can see, but it's definitely updated on the creator's side. The interface for posting is so much better. It's user friendliness is better, and functionally, everything's much more clean and efficient.

Anyway, I'm pretty tired. But I managed to throw this together anyway. I'll probably talk more about being tired later this week if I continue to feel tired.

Being that it's October, it's a time for brellowitches...

[Patron-Only Feed] Tired, but still undead.

This month saw the return of the brellowitchmascot that I introduced LAST October. I figure they'll be an exclusively October thing, and would like to draw them a couple times during the month. Though I haven't got much in the way of ideas for it yet, and last year's brellowitch draws were mostly responses to tumblr asks. So we'll have to see how that goes.

amaranthos

The way Amaranth's hair is drawn changes from piece to piece...

A long time ago, an evil wizard did some uncool stuff and the practice magic has since been outlawed. In typical RPG fashion, a hero was trained since birth to battle the evils of sorcery. All the while, her assistant & party pack-mule provides arcane assistance behind the scenes, all the while maintaining the secret of their powers.

Not a particularly unique idea, but a kind of silly take on RPGs in which...

October 2018 - Monthly Dropbox Archive

It is a new month, and with that, comes a new, refreshed Dropbox link.

What is Dropbox?

Dropbox is a file hosting service that offers cloud storage, which allows users to upload files that can be accessed directly from the internet.

I use Dropbox to upload virtually ALL of my artwork at higher resolutions than I do on social media. It is also an easy, convenient way of viewing all of the work created during the year, with separate folders for every month.

I even upload some...

clock towel

I threw this together before bed. It's not amazing or representative of anything, but I've been fiddling with some Game Maker stuffs, and I need to consider set design and stuff.

Since I'm blatantly inspired by Castlevania for the Elayne Boobmont idea, I pretty much just drew the staircase up to Dracula. Though I fully expect to deviate when I design my game. After all, I'd like to grasp the FEELING of Castlevania, which I don't think has been present since Castlevania IV -- but I'd still want...

wall turkey

A pretty static sketch, but a neat one nonetheless, I suppose.

I had a commission stream today, but it was a very short one, as I had to cook dinner, and I did not want to interrupt my work to cook, and then have to rush dinner. I like being present in the process, and I would hate for my work flow to be broken.

Anyway, so I did a short sketch before I opened commissions and this was it. Not an amazing sketch, but that's alright. These things happen. We were watching the Angry Video Game...

October 2018 - Sketch Suggestions

Every month, I like to ask the question:

What do YOU want to see?

- Characters, Scenarios, Subjects, Mediums, Themes, etc...

I look through the suggestion you send periodically throughout the month to determine what kinds of content you & other patrons are interested in. I even often use your suggestions to determine what to create.

I expect a bunch of you might like to see some spooky ideas, whether it's with PoeLinks, Brellowitches, Elayne, or other Halloween things.&...

If you have yet to look into the Dropbox Archive, please remember to do so (if you have access to it). There is a lot of stuff present in it. Like, 50-70 files worth of stuff if you count unpublished sketches & commissions.

I wish I drew more Patron Suggestions -- as is typically the case -- but more so w...

its an elayne

I keep forgetting that Elayne has a little jacket. I revisited an earlier concept, in which her jacket had a fuzzy collar. I'm sure it's practical.

I just wanted to draw an Elayne that looked a bit like she was stepping on the viewer, but I wound up neutralizing the camera angle with the legs, so that doesn't come across as much as it should. It's okay, it happens! Though there is still a "worm's eye view" quality in the torso, so it helps to suggest that we're looking up at her somewhat.

This work was actually a rather spontaneous piece, and I did not expect to put as much work into it as I did. Though I'm glad I did, it looks neat.

I enjoy Megaman Zero, and like many people, I'm sure I thought he was a girl when we first saw him in Megaman X. Though he got even more feminine in appearance for his GBA titles, and gosh dang he's pretty. It doesn't seem beyond belief to suggest that he was rebuilt with the body of a woman either, so that's neat.

Something Soft

I wanted to draw something soft & cute, so what better subject than some cute Links hugging each other? They should go on more adventures instead of just hugging all the time... But maybe after one more hug.

Their size ratios keep changing from piece to piece, I gotta work on that. Half-Link's supposed to be pretty short, as that's the whole point of the name... Ah well.

Although there's some colour variation, from the peach of the skin, the orange of the hair, red of the heart box.....

This is a Hypno Piece

Everyone knows that all things brello-prefixed HATE work.

Originally just a simple, goofy hypnosis doodle in a stream, I held back on posting it because I wanted to do something with the background, so that it felt more like an office setting. In retrospect, I'd alter the contrast a bit, but that's okay. It's fine as is. Sometimes you just gotta move on from a piece if it's not worth spending extra time on it. It's a simple art.

Buckle Up...

A cool concept I started exploring today, though it's only the first iteration of the idea, so I don't know too much about it. It's entirely subject to change.

Belts are a pretty big component to the design. Obviously. Inspired by the Frankenstein's Monster, though with a bit of Evil Dead thrown in. The belts help to suggest the idea that she's being held together, though not literally by the belts themselves.

stop drawing these things

If I had to pick a single character out of the entire Castlevania franchise to call my favourite, it would probably be Carrie Fernandez. I've only drawn her a few times here and there. I wish she appeared in more games, perhaps even older than she previously was, but I doubt it would ever be.

Her only appearance was in Castlevania 64 (Legacy of Darkness), and although she was only 12, she was a descendant of the powerful witch Sypha (Castlevania III). Born into a family of Spanish immigrants, ...

An assortment of Amaranths. Not very much to say about them. There are faces. And hands. Stuff and things. I drew him with a happy grin and it's too cute that it must die.

Bunnylette, I guess.

Colette. I don't draw her very often because I don't typically think that I do a good job of drawing her. I say this every time, I'm sure.

Just a quick doodle and not much more than that. Not too much to say about it. Bunny girls are nice enough, right?

Elayne Doodles

I haven't drawn Elayne's fancy outfit very much as of lately, so I wanted go give it a shot. Pretty neat. All good stuffs and things. You'd think that her hair, as simple as it looks, would be super easy to draw. But I always have to spend longer than desired whenever I drew it. Hardest character to draw!

Elayne's cool. You should pay me all the monies to do Elayne stuff. Y'know, if you like cool things that are actually cool and not lame. Then again, you ARE here, aren't you?

Elayne & The Vampire Queen

"Let me guess... Your guns are your sub-weapon? Isn't that a little historically inaccurate for a setting in the 16th century?"

I suppose the Vampire Queen's outfit is still very much open to change. It's not too different from my previous attempts, with the inclusion of thigh highs, and a shorter cape (which is purely for composition reasons).

It's been a while since I've portrayed Elayne in a way that highlighted her muscular build. I go back...

The biggest problem with becoming a ghost...

... is losing some mass where it most counts?

Definitely a fun piece. I wanted to try drawing a Link that more resembled a typical ghost -- I suppose, in some ways, it looks like a Ghini (the OTHER ghost enemy in the Zelda games), which are white leg-less beings. Though they tend to have really long tongues... Maybe Link's hiding hers?

This is sure to be a good image to share in October. It would be a smart idea to get a tiny head start on spooky arts for the month.
