I recently did a fresh installation of Clip Studio Paint in an effort to fix a big problem with my brushes. My brushes are fixed now, but my pen pressure is wonk... It's not what it used to be, so it throws me off, and I don't know how to get it back to how I had it. I don't expect I ever will, and will just have to adjust. Though for now, it's not the funnest feeling.
I drew a Mel. Bit of a wonk sketch, but it happens. No worries. We just try better next time.

Just an assorted series of sketches I did in an improptu stream. Wasn't really feeling great today while drawing, but these came out alright enough.

And this is the illustration for posting tomorrow on Halloween-- well today on Halloween. I'm admittedly, not the happiest with it. I think it's okay, but I think a few of the previously shared illustrations were superior to this, so this makes an odd final boss type thing. Like in Fable 2, when the final boss was literally just a QTE. Ah well. All we can do is try better next time!

I woke up too late and didn't devote time to the Water Link WIP - I just wasn't really feeling it either. I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do for Saturday's illustration - something I expressed yesterday, which is unfortunate, because I had two days to do it. Alas. Man my back sure is exhausted!
I'm trying to go all out this week and have a bunch of Halloween art to post online every day until Christmas - but it sure is hard work! Planning to post this later today.

Irene the Witch, Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
I got the sudden urge to draw her today. I've been wanting to play with her design somewhat, so I kinda did that here. Next time I give her a shot, I might try to go for a more "tribal witchdoctor" kinda vibe so she almost feels a tiny bit alien when compared to a typical Hylian - though that'd probably need to also establish what would be typical to look at.

I did the sketch on the right in a stream as an update of a character idea (the original sketch on the left). There are some things I like, but some things I don't. For a while, I've wanted to give her blue hair, but now she looks very icy and cold - which is not a direction I wanted to go with. "This will be the easiest page to colour" I said before having to actually shade it - it turned out being very different, since it featured three different characters, all of who have to be shaded differently.
But the shadows of the characters are all done. I still need to do some of the highlighting, in addition to some ambience stuff. The background colours still need fiddling with; I don't think the entire page is quite working just yet. But it's getting there.

This is just a quick sketch based on a pinup I saw over the weekend. It was just a simple short-haired woman looking behind while she sat at a chair, and I thought she'd look cooler as a blue chick with white hair.
