TOY Slipcase Process Notes

I wanted to share some of the planning notes and concepts we did while trying to think of how we wanted to frost the cake that is Tripping Over You!

Here are several of the ideas we ended up scrapping; some of them even led directly to the idea we ended up going with.♥ I still like the scrapped designs, but the one we picked felt like a perfect middleground - not too plain and simplistic, but not too overloaded!

All of these will be in the dropbox, as well!

TOY Volume 6 Full Cover Art and Elijah

Map Set: School

I added a lot of maps into a new folder in my sketchbook on the Dropbox, but for the sake of explanation I'm going to post them to the feed here in sets! You can find all of the maps in the folder, but for now this is all of the old and current maps for their school (from the start of the comic).

TOY Dancing Print

We just finished up a new print for TOY, part of a project we're super excited for! I wanted to share the final version all the way back to a sketch I shared in June.

Owena planned the background for this one, picked the color scheme, and laid out and drew the buildings for it. I finalized the shading and finished up the image over the last few days, mostly adding in depth and tweaking colors while trying to give that "romance novel cover" energy, lol.

It was really fun to work on...
