They have no local service of storage for such objects around Chiron (blue gas giant) because of Artyom's initiative, buut it's another story :D
On the 1st panel the ball is already cleaned, cause it was observed and checked by technics for weeks, then only the human got a permission to check it aswell.
Alas, the ball never asks Artyom, is he want to bring him or not :D

Max was found on the Faceless. The ball was foun there as well. Artyom can't control the ball/it ignores him. What a coincidence.
Well, we have a smol hint here on first panel like bracelletes, but i'm not sure if anyone will find out it by himself in public versions of the page :D

Chirangivi Pillay Dev is Artyom's boss, The Chairmen of Supervisors Council.
Yanee is the first AI-Supervisor, sinthetic of 6th grade. Later on her basis other AI-Supervisors were created, who replaced temporarily or until now human units of this profession.
