Behind-the-Scenes April 2023 Week 4: Part 2

Hi deluxe everyone!

Here's updated WIPs for the artwork for this week.

1. Huge Boob Tsunade. I got coloring started and made some good progress. I was talking with another artist about colors and I realized I mostly use warm colors, so I'm trying to use colder colors here. I like the look so far, but there's still a fair bit of rendering to go. And I need to add a little dialogue, but I'm hoping you can tell what's going on right now even without the words.

Art Tip: Stubble

Hi everyone,

Here's a tip requested by a patron.

This is my process for adding pubic stubble on my characters (Ivy mostly). With any sort of hair, you need to think about how the hair blends into the skin, and so I find that adding the stubble on a separate layer and gently erasing the edges helps it blend in more naturally.

April 24th Update and Previews

Hi everyone.

Just some quick updates and previews.

First, we're a few weeks into this comic project. I've been enjoying working on it so far. I've decided that every few weeks, I'll take a week or two off of working on the DGDO comic to make some other OC art and to prevent myself from burning out on it. I've got some lewd Poste/Del/Ivy/Rosa artworks that I want to make but they don't fit in the comic, and it's been hard finding extra time for other artwork between the weekly comi...

Behind-the-Scenes April 2023 Week 4: Part 1

Hi deluxe everyone.

Here's some new WIPs for this week.

1. DGDO Page 9. I've got the lines and base colors down on the last two panels, but still need to clean up the first panel and add the dialogue.

2. Huge Boob Tsunade Pinup. I got the lines done. I also decided to add some context with some panels of Shizune, so I guess it ended up being a one-page comic in the end. This will still have a timelapse on Saturday and a lactating alt.

Behind-the-Scenes April 2023 Week 3: Part 2

Hi everyone,

Here's updated WIPs for this week's comics.

1. DGDO Page 8: I cleaned up and added color to panel 2, got some good progress on the render in panel 1, and worked on panel 4. I fixed some things in panel 4, mostly adjusting Del's face and boob. Since her bikini top is supposed to be really shiny, I reflected the environment off of it if you look closer (you can see the beach on her boobs). Still a fair bit of rendering to do all around.

Art Tip: Shading with Volume

Hi everyone,

Here's a tip on drawing nipples. A patrons asked for some advice on drawing nipples with volume specifically, so I made some examples. A shadow and highlight is really all you need for getting a sense of volume. As long as shadow wraps around the form and a highlight is placed in the right spot, your drawing should have a  nice sense of volume.

Behind-the-Scenes April 2023 Week 3: Part 1

Hi deluxe everyone,

Here's some WIPs.

1: DGDO Page 8. The girls have arrived and now the beach scenes will begin after this page. I've only sketched the second panel at this point, it still needs a clean up line pass and then color. On this page I wanted to show Del pulling a drift into the parking lot, getting too excited, and then finding her composure again. Also have Poste hanging out of the window with her butt up dizzy from the crazy driving.

Behind-the-Scenes April 2023 Week 2: Part 2

Hi Deluxe everyone,

Here's updates on this week's artworks.

1. DGDO Page 7: So I spent most of my time rendering Del and working on the backgrounds. There's still a bit of work left to do on the car interior and Poste in panel 4. To match her love of latex and leather, I'm making Del's bikini top a nice shiny black with a slight pearlescent highlight.

Behind-the-Scenes April 2023 Week 1: Part 2

Hi Deluxe everyone.

Here's updates on this week's art.

1. Ivy pinup painting. I got a good amount of progress on the painting. I'm going for that fake-traditional painting look again.

2. DGDO page 6. A good amount of rendering overall mostly on the first two panels and a little on the rest. I'm not sure about the lighting on panel 4 so far. I might play around with that one a little more. I'm pretty proud of the first two panels though.

Art Tip: How to Color Hair

Hi everyone,

Here's a little step-by-step written tutorial on how I color hair. It is a process that I have simplified over the years to a quick and effective method, in my opinion. Normally I would use my custom brush that is streaky, but for this I used a hard round brush with pressure opacity to show that anyone can do this with any simple brush.
