Finally, boobs!
For Goku, we modeled the face after Gine, this becomes more obvious in later pages.
For Vegeta we actually used an old Fenek drawing I remembered liking.
And then Gohan was a bit less based on anything though it does have some Chi Chi in the face.
so we go from the OG girl to a much more recent one, at least relatively speaking (The Universal Survival Saga is almost 8 years old...)
Personally I'm a fan of the older DB gals but I know a lot of people like the girls from later series as well. That said, especially between Frieza's Resurrection and TOP the fashion is just... Dreadful! So as you can see we made some changes to the outfit just so its a bit more pleasing to look at, apologies to the hammer-pants enjoyers.

Not on the schedule but here's an update to one of last year's comics that took a while to find a spot in the shading queue but finally got one.
I believe the only comic from last year we still have to shade is the Succubus Rock one but if I've forgotten something please let me know. That one should be done next month.

Apologies this one took longer than expected but from here on out I can say with certainty there won't be any instances of the shaded version going up later than the flat color, at least for sequences.
As an addition I added some sprites from one of the games to show what the off page characters emotions are. Yugioh luckily has a lot of sprites from all the games that are easy to use for this.

There's a decent amount of Toga twinning out there, and unsurprisingly I guess. But I think given how her power is over blood there's other fun ways to use the ability. You could see this as a semi-twinning but for me its more of a 'flavored tg'... Whatever that means.

Our next big special begins!
A nice 8 pager, we'll be trying a weekly release with this one to see how that goes compared to before when it was monthly chunks instead. Like with most longer comics, no TG right away since the extra pages give me more time for story set up but I promise it will pay off.
Mangostee is an OC I came up with for this comic. Still loyal to her Lord all these years later. What specific point in time this is I didn't specify though probably after Buu.

All this time later I still really like the design for Codessa here. Its a pretty simple 'hot blonde' look but I just like nice tight dresses I guess.

Black Manta has such a cool design I was surprised to look him up and find his backstory and motivation is pretty silly. He basically has an irrational hatred of the ocean and so he fights Aquaman as a proxy for the ocean itself.

We'll be trying a new method for releasing specials where we release every page weekly (meaning the comic will continue into next month)

And so we begin the second stretch of the One Piece series. Starting auspiciously with the Kuja Tribe, the day before Lunar New Year to ring in the Year of the Snake. Not planned at all but fun.
Opted for something a bit different here where Luffy's change isn't an intentional effect of the arc villain. It was a bit too hard to craft a concept using the Kuja and Boa given how the arc plays out so we thought this was a lot more reasonable.

Charoset's Twinning Series for this year starts now!
The title of this series is a play on the final episode of the original DB saga 'Goku's Great Transformation'. I debated using episode 2 'What The... No Balls?!' instead but its not a great series name.
