Hey all,

Prepare to Cry always takes me longer than I anticipate, but here it is - the story of the Nameless King's Betrayal.

We have a new thumbnail artist too, who will be featured in next month's Wallpaper gallery for our $10 patrons :)

She'll be doing all future Prepare to Cry art, which should be seeing a bit of a revival sooon :)))))

As always, Prepare to Cry takes far longer to make than I ever anticipate..but i'm pretty happy with this one. Hopefully it gives a little more character to Gwyn's Firstborn.

The game is quite fun overall, though I definitely have some concerns.

Dark Souls Lore: Izalith Translated

Wheww, it's finally done!

This one was a bit of a coordination nightmare because it involved keeping in contact with Translator 1 (Lokey), Translator 2 (Nojah), and Hawkshaw - which made every step a little slower than usual. Definitely going to take note of that going forward with these kinds of videos!

Also, I had to spend time playing Cuphead while making this video. Had to. Game is too good.

Dark Souls Lore Translated - Izalith

Hello lore fans

This next one is a bit of a collaboration between three people, and took forever to co-ordinate as a result. Definitely learnt a lot from this one.

It's pretty heavy lore content, but necessary to bring everyone up to speed if I want to do a PtC on Izalith in the future (which I do).

Okay, so it's not that sad. But he is a more interesting character than most give him credit for...

So this is a weird situation - there are two private Prepare to Cry episodes out just for you guys. My last PtC artist (re:dye) dropped off the face of the earth, so I had to go hunting for another. [EARLY ACCESS] Prepare to Cry: The Grand Betrayal

Hey folks,

Here's the first Prepare to Cry for August - "The Grand Betrayal".

This video took on a lot of forms. Originally it was a dissection of the Untended Graves..then it was a collaboration with Game Theory..and now it's a Prepare to Cry - the only format that lets me put forward my opinion on the place in an entertaining way.

Honestly, I don't think even Miyazaki could adequately explain all the inconsistencies within the Untended Graves. It's where theories (and Unkindled) ...

When I got back from Japan, I had a whole swathe of videos I wanted to make - but I stumbled upon this song, and felt like giving it some proper visuals.

It was fun hunting down these clips..splicing them together in tune with the music. 

I even learnt a little more about text editing - there's actually a clip of smouldering coals superimposed on the lyric text..took me hours to get that right =/

Next will likely be a video that was supposed to be a collaboration with MatPat o...

Dark Souls 3 Lore ► Angel's Egg & Filianore

This should help explain a few of the curiosities in Filianore's character.

I'm also in Japan right now! I'll be posting pictures and a blog of my experiences on the plane home, and I really hope it convinces some of you to come here. It's unlike any other place i've been.

I'm getting back into it now, and decided to shake off the rust with a type of video that's relatively easy for me to make, compared to the complicated Lore stuff.

This is the draft of Part 2, in glorious 720p, 30fps, and a lower bitrate. It's unpolished, but should still give you some good feels while I edit together the final version tomorrow morning.

In addition to the one that wins this poll, we'll also be watching "Angel's Egg", a movie you might remember me mentioning in my videos. Angel's Egg has a lot of symbolic similarities to Filianore in the DLC.
