Howdy!

The buzz has quieted down, so either the version has fewer bugs or I've forgotten to fix them, but I'm willing to let you Teachers have a chance at finding ways to break the game. Though hopefully it won't break!

Devlog 2/2024

So, as I've said, the next update is all about updating the club mechanics. The progress is steady, but it can feel a bit slow since there is a lot of ground to cover at once (there's about 3k new lines of code and enumerators, jeez). Here's basically what I have ready and what's still to be done for this update. Well, as ready as they will be for the beta at least. The UI might change, but the underlying functionality is probably going to stay intact.

Pausing billing until next update

Hi!

Sorry for the long ass delay for the next update. It's been taking forever and I have no idea where my time has gone - end of the year is truly a mysterious time. Anyhow, I feel bad for you guys giving money and me not giving anything in return, so I'm pausing the billing until I'm dropping the next update. So, you guys won't be charged until the next update lands (though this means no new Patrons can subscribe either - sorry, you'll have to wait a few weeks).

Hostess events

So, while writing some new events for Hermione, it got me thinking about the way I've been approaching the hostess events.

While I really like making the events, I'm slightly miffed that the generic events are taking up some time from the more interesting personal events. It got me wondering would anyone really miss the generic events or should I make them super simple...

What's your opinion? Should the generic events be as multi-pathed and long as they're now or should I simplify...

Hotfix time!

As is tradition, as more people play the update, I hear about new bugs. This one was pretty bad as it prevented Hermione's questline from ever starting, so I made a hotfix for just that. I'm not sure if your previous saves with 0.063 will be fine. They might be, but if Hermione's questline still won't start, sorry, you'll have to revert to older saves or start from the beginning (I really hope it won't come to that).

Super quick hotfix for 0.063

Thanks for my lovely Patrons for immediately finding a bug that I missed when I was testing on my own. Also, with a Patron's save file I managed to track down and fix two more bugs, so that's always nice.

I updated the download links in the previous post, so go ahead and download the game again. Sorry about the double downloads. Also, if you already played the 0.063, try using a save from the previous release (or a fresh one if you wanna start over) so that everything goes smoothly agai...

Paused billing for now

Hot greetings everyone!

I decided to put the Patreon billing on pause for now. The reason for this is quite simple: summer sucks and I haven't had a lot of time for the project. You'd think summer vacation would mean more time for projects such as this, but alas, the kids are also home for the whole summer, so it becomes pretty impossible to spend as much time on the project as I used to.
