/Ronnie - Hues of Pink

Decided to try a pink backdrop on this set. I have a main box light on the left, a small cardboard box with a hole cut out of it and a LED light for extra fill in the front left of her. Then I used one of those ocean LED light boxes with a plum color selected on the right side to create the extra light effects. Rest is color corrections and salutations in Photoshop. I used my 70-200mm lens at a 2.8/ 2000 ISO.

I bought this mask from Artist Rojas Wagner - I was on a waiting list for my mask to be hand made. The detail that went into it as well as the packaging design is absolutely beautiful. I have a few different concepts planned with it, but really wanted to shoot something now. Luckily Ronnie and I booked some time to create some new work, and this is what we came up with.

This is probably my favorite set from our recent shoot. The colors came out really cool and soft.

/Ronnie - Purple Hues

Got new Purple and Pink backdrops. So we shot some new portraits with a few different outfits.

/Emily - Self Portraits

This is a series of self portraits Emily shot and sent over for me to edit. I asked if she wanted to collaborate so I could play around with a film emulation app on my phone. This is an older set that I lost originally, and recently talked with Emily who still had them. 😊

/Loss - Poster Concepts

Few poster designs for my horror short Loss. Might change up the typography and focus this set on just the character Mara, then do another version for each of the other characters as I get a chance to shoot them.

So far I’m scheduled to start shooting the film in March 2025.

/Becky - Free In Nature

This is such a cool lonely tree at the end of the open fields. Becky and I decided to shoot a nude set with the tree and we got some really cool images. Becky hugging the tree made for some really cool emotive shots!

This series has definitely changed over the years. I used to edit and color grade in a different program call Aperture. It had some of the best real film grain options, as well as a unique way of color grading. Most of the older work had a nice softer look to it. But editing now in Lightroom classic, I find its difficult to get that same feel. I do like the way the new wet series is coming along though. As always, Im grateful for the amazing people who have let me photograph their bodies anonymously for this project. I will most likely continue shooting this series. Maybe one day I will grab the best images from each set and make a book.

/Becky - Maple Syrup

The farm I shoot at has an old shanty in the back where they make maple syrup. Most of the trees where tapped already when Backy and I got out there. Soon they will be making maple syrup.

/Becky - The End of Fall

They just farmed all of the corn from the fields at one of my favorite spots to shoot. The leaves are all but gone and the trees left bare for winter. I managed to get one last Fall shoot in with Becky before it got too cold out.

/Sarah - The Devils Crown

Sarah wanted to do something dark and bloody for October, so she reached out and we set something up. Gave me a chance to finish another crown prop for the shoot that turned out better than the last one. made it more flexible this time. Fun set. Nice way to end October.

/Domino - Lux - End of Fall

Wanted to shoot a half nude, long white fluffy skirt set in the cornfields with the fall colors. So We ended up getting the sun in a good spot that worked for back lighting the girls. Almost like a witches coven wandering the cornfields and surrounding fields, being one with nature.

This is a pretty large set. I should have probably made the selections smaller and just chose the best 20-30 images, but sometimes its hard to choose the best ones.

/Sya - These Horns

Crafted a mask that kinda represented a devils face with horns. Reached out to Sya to see if she wanted to shoot some horror themed stuff, and this is what we came up with. Used white clay, string and fake blood. Set is just black plastic, and dried branches I took from my yard and strung them up. Then turned off all the lights, and filled the room with a smoke machine. The final images were composited in Photoshop with extra textures to create a dark look.

The funny thing was, Sya was smiling throughout the shoot and laughing because she couldnt see, but because she was wearing the mask, you would have never known :)

/Bella - Old Records

This is probably my favorite set of Bella. We ended up shooting at her place, and she had a room with an old chair and record player next to a warm colored lamp. The original Idea was to shoot with the natural light outside, but it was cloudy. So we tried out the lamp. I love the way they turn out.

/Weekend Shoots wrapped

Busy weekend. Horror shoot went well, still working on the look and feel of the edits. Shot Bella again and we lucked out trying a simple lamp in one of her rooms with an old chair. Might be my favorite set of her. Domino and Lux came out to the farm and we shot some cool emotive beauty sets in the corn fields.

Also did some location test shooting for my Horror short film I’m working on.

Lots to edit. Will upload as I get stuff finished.

/Weekend Horror and Beauty shoots

I am really looking forward to this weekend. I booked Saturday and Sunday with several people to shoot a new horror set, as well as some outdoor emotive beauty sets in the corn fields and fall woods. I wanted to put together a Halloween issue of Jaybird magazine, but I’m not sure I will have enough time this month.

New work coming. 😁

/Korey - Plastic Bathrooms

After shooting the video test for my Lost project, we decided just to shoot a quick set in the bathroom while Kory was wrapped in plastic. These were shot on my 35mm at a 1.6f. Sometimes you just have to try things, and sometimes they happen to work out. :)

/Loss Horror Short Test

I finished my script for my short horror movie. Well, the first draft at least. I'm waiting on a writer friend to mark it up and format it into a proper script. I'm trying to play around with video concepts to get a feel for certain scenes, or just to create some teasers. This was just a quick concept shoot to test out the 8k video on my Canon R5. I shot, edited and scored it in about 4 hours. Korey was kind enough to help out since we were already shooting a new photo set. We managed to get the video shots i needed before she left.

My movie will be titled "Loss". I'm looking at about a 20 min short, very visual with not much dialog. Once I get the completed script done, I plan on starting up castings for the 3 characters that are in it. It deals with depression, suicide and limbo, as well as what lurks in limbo. So d=far I have positive feedback on my story, but more on that later.

II want to start documenting the process here. Its probably going to take a year to plan out and budget. But I'm hoping sooner. Depending on how things go, I might try a Kickstarter to get some funds so I can actually hire everyone I need.

Here are some Inspiration images I pulled from my work to help create a look I'm going for. I will update with new work as I get more done for this project in the next couple of months. This is something i have always wanted to do, and I feel like I'm at a good point with my art to really bring it to life.

/Gina - Sunday Mornings - 1

New emotive beauty set with Gina. I probably edited way too many photos for this lazy Sunday morning vibe shoot. So I'm breaking it up into 3 separate posts. Always loved working with Gina. Every time we shoot, we end up with a large amount of beautiful shots. And of course we had to shoot with her cat ears, which she has a nice collection.

/Kayle - Portraits

Had the opportunity to work with someone new today. Kayle came out and we shot some simple portraits. Felt good to shoot again, and I managed to get the edits done in one sitting. Hopefully we can work again together. We shot a little later in the day so we were losing the light pretty quickly, but managed to get a few shots in.

/Upcoming shoots

I have a few upcoming portrait sessions scheduled, two of which are with new faces. Also doing another cat ear session with Gina later this month. I haven’t shot anything for a month now, so feeling a little rusty. Looking forward to sharing new work.

I’m tired of Instagram. It’s just not engaging anymore. So I’m focusing on posting everything new that I work on here from now on.

If everything works out and no cancellations, I should have the first set up by end of next week.
