Comic for Wednesday 6/30 (Early High Res)
My wife and I recently finished It Takes Two, which was absolutely fantastic. She doesn't play a lot of console games, so the lack of controller muscle-memory made some of the more intense platforming a bit of a challenge for her, but fortunately the game is very forgiving with its checkpoints.

I'm an avid Sea of Thieves player, so I always love seeing new content come to the game. The Tall Tales are a great PvE activity, so I'm excited they're bringing more of them to the game.
As much as it makes sense, I never expected a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover, though. I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I really enjoyed the first Pirates movies, and so it's fun to see that brought to a game that clearly drew so much inspiration from it in the first place....
Oof, I truly do not envy the devs tasked with making these games.
On the one hand, Disney is likely not going to let them make an actual MCU game because the MCU continuity is so tightly orchestrated, and any story set in that universe would immediately be thought of as a canon part of the whole.
But it's clear that the MCU portrayals of these characters have now become so engrained in our popular culture, they can't truly break free in a different direction because they want to...
Then they release the "HBO" DLC that lets a couple of idiots come up with an ending for the game.

A tale as old as time...
In a way, it's comforting to know that certain things never change.
Regardless, Chivalry 2 is fucking bananas, and I love it. Stormed a rampart, beheaded an archer. Picked his head up and threw it at his friend. World went black. Another knight I didn't see caved my face in with a log. 10/10, would siege again.
If I had an infinite amount of time, I would maintain some sort of online resource for gamers looking to get back into games they used to play. A sort of tool to walk them through what's changed and tips for easing back in.
It's tough enough going back to a game in-progress when you're well past the tutorial sections and you don't remember the controls/plot. It's even worse when a game has evolved so much through updates and new features you don't even recognize it anymore.
I re...
Good gravy they pump out a lot of games...

It's an interesting design choice, having the entire game narrated. It's also a bit... much, at times.
Pro-tip, you can reduce the frequency or silence the commentary altogether before it drives you mad.
Super hyped for Biomutant this week!

From the get-go, the Avengers game heroes were clearly not the MCU versions. I know a lot of people struggled to accept that, but I was always content to simply let them be a separate thing and tell their own story; after all, we've had countless versions of these characters across different media, so why not one more? And the game's campaign did a pretty good job of solidifying an original take on the team.
Now the game is introducing MCU costumes from Endgame, and as an MCU fan I am ...
"OO-da-lally, oo-da-lally, golly what a day."
My very first exposure to the Robin Hood legend (and I presume this is true for most kids of my generation) was the Walt Disney animated film from the seventies. It set the tone for how I thought of Robin Hood for years to come.
When I was older, the Kevin Costner film gave me a slightly more grown-up look at the legend, and later Cary Elwes provided some laughs over it. There have been a couple more attempts since that don't...
