Mermay wip

This month was very rough, and somehow still very busy, and it didn't help that i had 2 weeks where i was very sick.

Doing better now and I have some private commissions I can't post. And while I for sure won't be finishing this in the month of May, i'm still working on this illustration too!
Will be posting some (of the non private) commissions as I catch up on my workload after being sick, and hopefully I can open new slots in a couple weeks!

Morning wood

 I rarely ever get the chance to really sit down and focus on art nowadays for various reasons, but today was an exception, and it was real nice to just get in the Zone.

One of my artistic 'goals' is to make a comic or two. My kid starts school in september so maybe then i will have more hours in the day to get my brain to focus on such a project...

Until then, a stray, standalone page here and there will have to do :)

All of these are finished already, but I wanted to just post the linearts separately because i've been having a lot of fun relaxing time with lining/cleaning up sketches (´◡`)

Trying to apply my "new" (evolving?) render into a more sketchier style...not hating it.

Also just some practice after not getting to draw for almost a week because of some irl stuff jgkflgfg someone take me on a vacation pls (and by that i mean put me in a terrarium under a sun lamp and knock on the glass sometimes)

How is it already april??

March was honestly a fever dream between mounting mental gunk and a domino effect of health problems. Hopefully it's gonna be uphill from now! I've been working on things, just slowly.

Have a wip of another bigger illustration i'm gonna be working on this month (I think I'll try doing 1 bigger thing a month, and pace myself out, working on that alongside commissions. My adhd has been all over the place and i have many ideas/drawings i wanna do but brain no work. maybe if i force myself ...

Brushes!

I actually had a couple people ask what brushes I use, so i figured this would be the simplest way of showing them!

Some of the ones I use are not downloadable anymore (which i didn't link), and some are paid for (which i will mark as i list them!) I'm also uploading 2 close ups of art and try to show what brushes i used where - it's not the best way and i'm really bad at explaining technical things anyways, but maybe it helps showcasing a little better :'D

Finally managed to set some time aside to finish this one too! plus some extra doodles. 

me and husband had a thought about our FF14 toons but like, in medieval/fantasy AU. Sonos being a royal bun, Kagero being a military captain for the neighboring country of dragonkin...I'd say their diplomatic affairs are doing just fine!

I might draw more of this AU later on..

The Thaumaturge fan oc

I didn't draw anything for a week because of some health issues that also made me confined to the couch - so I picked up The Thaumaturge and played a lot this past week.

Now that I can sit in a chair again and get back to work I wanted to get this out of my system because it was eating at me all week haha.

Zine wip!

I'm part of a project called "Fey: A Guide to fae of the Butch variety", and we're allowed to share some sneak peeks/thumbnails and sketches! 

I'm gonna have a page illustration and a couple spot illustrations, and i got the two biggest thumbnails down so i figured i'd share! :D I'm drawing moth fairies~

I need to stop adding more wips on my pile of wips but I had to get this out of my head before I started on commission work or I was going to implode.

been having some fun while i'm still trying to find a render style for my more realistically painted art that i'm comfortable with. Practice practice!
