Before there was a Patreon, there was the mailing list.
https://groups.google.com/group/jrsstuff
In its ur-versions, back on yahoo groups and eListas, it hosted years of discussions and folders full of artwork, stories and so on, but as that kind of system became stale for people, the services were either closed or gutted and the current version in google hosts material only as atta...

I sent membership invites to everyone who had written requesting access to the mailing list or/and the online archive.
Anyone waiting who did not get invites please resend the request or write me again.
RL issues kept me from checking the group and my email and I have a ton of correspondence to catch up so if I have not given you access a new request will be faster.
Thanks.

FANTASTIC FOUR: EARTH GIRLS AIN'T EASY, THE DOR

This is something I did not long ago but which I am unsure if I should rework significantly before tightening the pencils (and fixing up faces). Copycat should have been much lower in the frame to showcase how tall Caitlin is, and Sublime is too close in size to her as well. Even if it is another panel at a different scale, it is better to try to keep the page layout emphasizing the individual traits.
Also, for some reason I blanked out on what effect was used when Co...

So I was asked about this rough sketch glimpsed on the sketchbook video I recently posted. This was an early layout for a Lois-Diana-Supes drawing I did years ago.
But since people liked the side view I thought I may as well finish it, but as the third participant was not obvious and there were different ideas as to who it could/should be, I decided that to make it different from the other version, I will add a poll here for all of you to decide just who should be helping out thos...

So for those who do not follow the ramblings at the parallel mailing list, a week and a half ago there was a fire at my workplace at a storage room right next to my desk and dousing the fire resulted in flooding much of the place.
Since I had been forced to give up having a home office space I had taken most of my bags and boxes full of years of artwork and crammed them Into a corner of workspace.
So they all got wet. My sketchboo...

I meant to post this about two weeks ago but then decided to wait until I had it more finished or could get a better scan. But had some RL troubles that kept me off my desk and unable to do any of it. And now I am unsure on the decompression of the scene that takes up too pages just to show Diana riding Etrigan. It may be too much space/time devoted to fairly repetitive panels, and it may be wiser to remove some and move the story along faster. The full body profile pa...

So this is another test of how sharing the backlog thru links to archives hosted online could work.
https://www24.zippyshare.com/v/utqrrGKG/file.html
The zip holds just a few of the earliest PG drawings I ever did. Low-quality scans. Just for the test.

Old Times Catch Up. This was an old sequence I shared in the mailing list.
I am testing how posting links to archived material in filehosts works here.
If it works well for everyone, I may start uploading in similar fashion much of the backlog of material so that there is no need trudge thru the message archive.
The password is my nickname.

This is a rough outline I had misplaced a while back for a loooong
delayed patreon reward. I think I did a less complex one instead back
then. But always wanted to come back to this.
Placement of the legs still being worked out. Lots of detail needed
still need to be defined, but I will finish this one shortly.
A less cropped version is shared in the parallel mailing list.

So here is the changed and mostly cleaned up and polished fourth double page.
I added extra panels to make the narrative work better and still keep what people liked in the previous draft. Hope it works.

It has been brought to my attention that the mailing list archive of past postings has become pretty difficult to navigate, making its usefulness as archive doubtful.
Google seems to have made filtering for specific postings with attachments unworkable, which would make each new member have to sort thru years and years of messages to find the attachments and people are unlikely to have such fortitude and patience.
I began a dedicated archive in google sites, at

So I was asked why do I depict most of the women in my comics as seemingly
masochistic?
That is a fair question and I have wondered how to show some variety
regarding this, and whether this shows some kind of personal issue I should
try to work thru, or I am just lazily adhering to cliched tropes.

Still needs tightening, clean up and polish.
I need to better define the panels in the first part to make it clear but also keep the sense of overlapping chaotic pounding.
