We all have a lot of emotions surrounding our newest President-Elect. There's a whole lot of this shitstorm going around and it's really easy to get lost in the panic and fear and anger. I'm not going to say "oh it'll all be ok" because the truth is that there is a long journey ahead of us, but what I am going to say is that now is the time to use those feelings to propel ourselves into action.

Made a Thing

Yesterday I took the time to make this mask. It will eventually become the poster for Death of Fall, but the photographer I was supposed to meet with earlier this morning bailed. So tonight I may end up taking the photo my self. This is wear firing myself as a graphic designer gets tricky. I know what I want, and while I couldn't get it to look as nice as someone who has more education and experience, I could get it done. Instead, I'm going to pass it off to a designer that I know won't get it ...

Lately something I have been struggling with is focus. I'm sure this has something to do with my diet - I fall back on fast food more than I like to admit and can't seem to kick my soda habit - but to be honest I've always had issues with this. It's part of the reason I take on so many projects, I feel like there are a million ideas floating around in my head and just as many voices clamoring to be heard. It feels like a constant noise or fog and can be incredibly hard to cut through more often ...

Long Lost

Had a wonderful production meeting with Phirebrand photography and she mentioned that she has tons of images that are living on her laptop but have never seen the light of day. So here, before it may or may not appear anywhere else, is my favorite of the ones I convinced her to share with me.

Looking at the Silver Lining

After an evening of searching for the perfect stock image, I finally found one that was the perfect Catholic crown and used it on our "All Spanks Day" event poster.
