Tonight, I'm camping out at the Mercury with my laptop for the first time in ages. I stopped going after numerous people commented on the strangeness of bringing my laptop to the club, but I seem to have run out of fucks. There's work to be done. There's people here I want to support. I'm not ready to go home yet. So I'm going to sit in this booth with my laptop and a sprite and bust through my to-do list. Anyone who cares to may join me.

RIP Night of the Living Nerds

Last night I was told by the Mercury that Night of the Living Nerds will be no more. It's not doing well in numbers and some people in the community are "actively avoiding it". This hurts my heart for a number of reasons, but I recognize that that's the way these things go. I finally got video of one of my performances! I'm using this to submit to the OR Burlesque Festival as well as Burlesque Burlesque Burlesque in NC (because why not!) so while it's up on Youtube and publicly accessible, I'm not advertising it anywhere.
Here's hoping I can get more videos of my performances. Having this available is super helpful to watch and see where I need improvement, and it's great to help me submit to shows and the like.
