for now, I'll start animating the first half of the short (basically what's on this storyboard)

for now we've only got the intro down (and even then it's subject to change), but now that I'm using this instead of some hacky mspaint, I should be able to work more efficiently 💪

this are some of the shots needed for the new ending
plus an extra shot of shiver's head for when big man speeds up 😌
all I need right now is the final shot where big man nuts (and pulls out if I can make it work 💦) while being displayed on a giant screen
and that's it 👀✨
after that, all that's left is finish editing it together and adding sound
started editing together the finished clips 👀
found a lot of issues I had not anticipated, mostly to do with pacing
so now I'm changing the storyboard to make something more solid
got a new small list of things left to animate and then we should be good 👌
pro tip: don't be like me and skip on the animatic part of the process 😌💦💦💦
for now I hope a frye chillin...

always worry whenever I have to do faces, specially on close-ups
thankfully I think this one came out alright 😁
wonder if I should make her blush more tho
didn't make it to the splatfest like I would've liked, but we getting there ✊
wasn't sure how Big Man's front leg was gonna look with the fade effect I had in mind
so I started applying some colors and things got out of control 👀

managed to sneak in another update 👀
finished the tail whip on the main view and got a pretty good base for the close-up view
figured this view is better than just closing up on the same angle
did try sketching the glass-table-view from below (second pic), but it was getting a bit abstract (due to big man's overall body shape) and gave us almost no dick in the frame 😔
finally done with this stupid ass first shot 😭
a lotta work for what is essentially 2 seconds, but at least it got me used to the characters' look
should be noted that what took so long was basically life getting in the way and not this being specially hard 😂💦
anyway, glad I got something done before the year ended
feel like everything's gonna run much smoother from now on
had a couple of rough weeks, but now I'm back to work 😌
hope I'll be able to get this out before the holidays hit

oh, also there's this quick storyboard I threw on paint
not quite sure if the close-up in panel 6 is the best option 🤔
feels like it's the same as the normal view
maybe some angle from below as if they were on a glass table like this?

really liked the concept, but the scope was higher than what my current abilities allow (my self esteem really took a hit 🤣)
