Occasionally I'll get a completely random idea out of nowhere and ride that train until I get bored with it and do something else. Can't say if I'll come back to this one, but I won't "not" do more of it either.

Ideas Monthly (August 2022)

I've been ahead of "Hat" ideas a bit too well, so I only have two 'Ideas From a Hat' to share this month.

I did get a third request a few days ago, and it'll definitely be in the September batch. However, I'd rather give it the time it needs than cram it in while trying to work on commissions.

As August Pouch closes up, I have to reflect and accept I might have gone a little overzealous on the background this time. So much so that I'm going to have to include a zoom-in with the pic so that the main 'star' gets her own cameo.

Of course, the attachments below are full-size, so you have your own zoom-in at any time.

This probably needs some explanation for why the giant machine exists or how she got up there, but nah, that's later...

Winds of Change (Progress Shots!)

This piece was challenging, both on production and on my computer. 6.1k * 4.3k is not a resolution that Photoshop is friendly with, and layers were definitely a cause of death.

Fortunately, I managed to salvage a backup save and closed it before everything hard crashed. Then, I had to split the main star and the background into separate images. It lead to a lot of paper doll technique and copy/paste to get her back in the scene.

[Early access] Announcing Sketch Commissions

Hey folks.

Officially (unofficially) I'm opening up commissions again! As per Patreon promises, I'm offering this to patrons first before I officially open it publicly. I'm keeping things simple for now, only offering sketches with or without color, and I'm also offering it at an hourly rate of $25 USD (measured in half-hour increments, max four hours). I'm abandoning older price sheets because too many people have mentioned that they're complicated.

Pausing Patreon charges for August 1st

I hopefully announced this in Discord already, but I'm on an apartment hunting trip while this post goes out. I'm moving over the month of July, so I think it's best if I don't set up an art poll or make any large promises that I can't keep this month.

Moving is always a stressful time, and while I'm sure I'll be working on some kind of picture and sharing here when I can, I don't think I can make ...

Silly Rabbits, Progress shots (and old animation!)

Sadly, this one didn't yield a lot of alternate spins on the idea, but that is mostly because the current month is a little rushed.

However, I did find out there was a vaguely relevant animation that I made around the same time as the first sketch (it's an old sketch). It's not complete, but maybe in the future...

Don't worry about their fate too much. To this day, they still haven't bothered to look up the meaning of the word 'permanent'.

The "Rear" Ending

Well, this came out of nowhere.

Started as a speedpainting exercise based on some weird AI generated stuff. Then, I decided I liked it enough to put text to it and now it looks like the ending of a fake CYOA interactive fiction.

I'm undecided on if both sets go public or if only the first one, but it was a fun image regardless. ^^

This month, based on some feedback on Discord, I want to try splitting  posts by related themes. I'm hoping that by doing that and tagging each  one appropriately, people get what they're looking for more readily.
