Chapter 54 - Civilization

I'm posting this a bit early because I won't be near my computer tomorrow when I wanted to get it posted.  Hope you all don't mind!

Abby, Pudge, and Zeke trudged downhill, covering the final stretch to Bastion. As they grew closer, Zeke found himself increasingly impressed by the size as well as the construction. Not only were the walls nearly twenty feet high, but when he focused, he could see the faintest hint of glowing runes beneath the grey stone.

Sorry about not posting this sooner today - I was feeling a bit under the weather, so it sort of slipped my mind.  In any case, this is the weekly (or maybe weekend) check-in where you all can ask any questions you might have, make comments about how you think the story as a whole is going, or just tell me how awesome you think the story is (or the other way, I guess, but considering you're all Patrons, I think that's probably unlikely).  Anyway, let me know what you're all thinking...

First of all, I wanted to say thank you to everyone here.  We've already passed the first goal (100 Patrons), and we're forging ahead to the second (200).  With reaching the first goal, I've increased the benefits for both the Boss and Monarch tiers of Patrons to the following:
