Bramley Apple

Pedantic.

This was a time I was still shooting with the Nikon D810 and the Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 AF-D Nikkor ED.
Well, by looking at this picture I have remembered why I felt the need to turn down autofocus and got interested in manual focusing with mirrorless cameras.
You can clearly see in the picture how the nipples of Martina are in perfect focus (which is good) but the eyes are not (which is bad).
Of late we got used to a much better focusing technique and looking back to these picture...

Next time, light up the chimney.

Winter in the Merate location can be very cold!
We did manage to warm up 1 room for the comfort of a naked Kiki, but then we tried a quick dash in the living room for a photo near the chimney.
I guess Kiki would have asked to stay in this room much longer, if only there was a hot fire in the chimney.
As it was we quickly got back in the heated up room.

This Winter I haven't even tried to shoot in the Merate location, I'm going to leave it for the hot season.

Natural bottom.

You don't get many when you shoot with Cristiana, because she smokes a lot!
But I still like to work with her, particularly in the Summer (like in this case) because you can leave the winsows open to let the smoke out 😂

Try new poses.

This is Linda interacting with the furniture.
Not the usual pose for portraits, maybe not particularly comfortable or natural, but for a naked lady the position really works fine.
I particularly like the profile of her face in shadow, that stands out from the background but still retains some detail of the face features.
Always worth experimenting!!!

Pictures are not meant to be recycled.

Very little of Martina's right nipple is visible in this photo, but it might be enough to be blocked on Facebook and Instagram.
On the other hand it is not enough to justify making my censored versions of the photo!
I guess it is an ideal image for Patreon, where I don't have to worry so much about lightly sexy content like this one.

I feel like when I'm doing the separate collection of rubbish, is this paper or plastic, maybe it contains some metal as well, where...

Judging by my Lightroom library module, I've done 13 shootings in 2021 so far.
14 adding the one I should make next Sunday.
This take 2021 among the most productive years in the history of Bramley Apple.
Not bad for a difficult year like this one!

Bianca is, for me, the best debut of the year, and I'm already in love with this model, I hope to work again with her soon, but I'm so glad to have at least on opportunity to explore her beauty.

The Pillars of Hercules.

Beauty is more powerful than brute force.
In this picture Martina appears like Hercules about to push down on the mythical Pillars, the ones you're not supposed to trespass.
But, with such a gatekeeper, I've lost all interests in whatever may be behind those pillars.
Please Martina leave those pillars in place and stay there as well!

Trustworthy Apple.

Whenever you tie up a model, remember to free her after you've finished the shooting! 😅
I always leave the keys nearby, so in case I have an heart attack she can free herself, not such a remote occurrence, considering the amount of beauty I'm exposed too for 3 hours.

Stella, the last model, refused to wear the handcuffs.
As I said before, these are the genuine article, not the fake restrain they sell in sexy shops that you can open easily without a key, so some models are intim...

Martina always knows how to put on a show, even without a proper stage.
The audience was not big, just me and the owner of the night club, but maybe Martina was imagining a wider crowd looking at her...

Something wrong?

Stella (the brand new model from Sunday's shooting) would have been my ideal girl when I was very young, I always worshipped females looking like angels, with long hair and blue eyes, especially when they felt cold and detached.
Later on, I started to turn towards more mediterranean beauties with some sex appeal, particularly from when I started photographing nudes again in 2016.
Stella may not be my ideal girl nowadays, but I was happy to dust off my old fantasies!

This is the first picture leaking from yesterday's shooting with Stella, the new Russian apple.
I know the name is similar to Stelladiplastica, but that is how she wished to be called, so we will have to try not to confuse them!

The apartment was very small, and the bedroom was occupied, so we really had little room to play with.
Fortunately the light streaming through the windows was good for most of the time and we did a fine job, given the circumstances.

Always at work.

Later today I will be shooting with a new model in Milano.
Long hair, blue eyes, athletic figure... let's hope everything goes well.
The location is the house of a friend, the same friend that helped me to find some of the last models, including Bianca.
Unfortunately his apartment is far from any public transport, but we should be able to reach it somehow.
Not sure if I will be able to show you a preview already for Monday, but I am optimistic about the result.

This is a nice picture of Jiulia, but you might ask yourself if it would be better if she was turned around.
As a photographer you can ask the model to keep the pose and go on the other side, but not in this case... so I asked her to turn around for me and take the same position.

Judging the pose.

Not easy to frame a picture in total darkness, but at least the Nikon D810 did a great job focusing (for most of the exposures).
Even if one hand has been sacrificed in this photo and the lines are not at all straight, I like the expression of Martina, I guess she was looking into the huge mirror pointed towards her, waiting for the flashlight to asses her posture.

My missing model...

On Tuesday I was checking on the Archives, because I was sure some of the pictures in the huge albums had not been uploaded, but actually everything appears to be perfectly in order...

I got robbed.

I've found some parasite website that have stolen many of my backstage videos and it is not sufficient to ask for removal, you actually have to ask through a DMCA paperwork.
I don't have the time, the inclination or a legal department to make all this fuss, because I'm not a corporation but just a simple photographer with few hours available for his hobby.

Jiulia and Giulia.

I know that similar names can confuse, it happened in the past with Sofia and Sophia, 2 very different models, now confined in the "Missing Models Album" on Flickr.
But you can still get confused between Jiulia and Giulia, 2 of the models I'm now showing only on Patreon.

This photo is from my last shooting with Martina, in April, such a long time ago I'm ashamed.
As soon as I can take some days off my new work, I will take all chances possible to work with Martina, to try and compensate for this long time without her.

After all I'm not interested in new models, it's good images I'm after, and she is one of the best subject I could think of.

This is another picture taken with the compact Fujifilm X100V, with its film simulations, not a bad result, even if I still prefer my usual workflow.

Leave the door open.

This photo is from the third shooting with Cristiana, the one in Gallarate, and not from the last in Milan.
The bathroom was an interesting location and I played with the longer focal length of the Contax-Zeiss Planar T* 100mm f2 to see through the corridor.
This glass is of the highest quality, with no apparent distortion, and gives the impression of spying on Cristiana from a distant room.

My communication problems.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I find it difficult to communicate important concept to young people.
I always have the impression they are not reading my messages, following my instructions, or listening to what I say.
