Zero gravity.

I like shooting from a ladder, with the model flat on the floor.
This way I eliminate gravity from the equation, the poses are not dictated by the need to stand, the softer parts of the body take a whole new shape, the muscles contracts or relax in a whole new way, and you loose the sense of what is "upright".

Also the backgrounds are changing dramatically, because they end up very close to the body and because we are less familiar with floor surfaces.

Do tattoos add charm?

Many of my models are proudly wearing tattoos.
You can even imagine that the decision of modelling nude is somehow linked to the passion for ink, as if the girls like to show off their bodies but want to further enhance its natural beauty, or maybe they are trying to send a more complex message with their skin.
Whatever the reason, I like to take pictures of a decorated body because it becomes unique, it stands out.

The correct values.

Light is tricky and we have to learn how it behaves in real life to try and reproduce its effect in our pictures.
What digital photography is able to reproduce is just part of what our eyes can see in real life, so in working on the raw file we have to choose the spectrum we want to show our casual observer.
HDR is not a solution, because it is going to show everything in the shadows and the highlights, but it is going to feel unnatural.

Port of call.

I had some down time periods from work in my life before, and every time I've managed to transform this time in an opportunity to learn new skills.
Last time I was unemployed I started my first Facebook profile, found a job with it, and worked on social media for the next 9 years!

But this time I feel even more lucky.
First because I'm not exactly unemployed just yet, I'm currently on redundancy funds.
Second I have a definite plan to work on!

Chiara's soft approach to nudity.

I am working on the idea of a personal website, still studying what host to use and everything else, to start on the right foot.
Apparently high quality and plentiful adult contents are not appreciated on the web!
But I really need a new house for Bramley Apple, and to make subscription solution that makes sense for me, as none of the ready made options appear to be capable of handling my contents.

It is going to take some time, because I have very little experience in setting up ...

The less travelled path.

Patreon subscription this month have gone down severely.
But what really makes me sad is that I'm loosing some of the oldest and most affectionate patrons, and the main reason appears to be a change in their financial situation.

The consequences of Covid are hitting hard in many people life, and I fully understand some cuts have to be made in the non essential departments.

At the same time, some patrons have managed to increase their pledge, and I really appreciate this effort...

Scars.

The wall of this apartment was wearing plenty of scars left from the previous owners, and badly needed a whitewash.

The skin of Shinrin, on the other hand, was flawless, with just the slightest hints of having sat down on a plastic chair a few minutes before.

But we are not allowed to see what is happening inside a person, and each of us may hide deeper scars that we ignore completely.

Powerful Sophia.

Sometimes a central composition with plenty of symmetry pays off.
You can try all the fancy techniques to make your framing more interesting, but most of the time you still need to follow your instinct and try what may be considered more boring.
In this case I would say it is the symmetry that makes this photo so powerful.

Dare to use old lenses.

There are so many reasons NOT to use old vintage lenses on modern digital cameras, particularly a Leica Summitar from 1950!
For instance, did you know that digital sensors are not like film, and they can reflect light back on the rear glass elements of the lens, causing flare from inside the camera...
This is why modern lenses are coated also on the internal side, and are better suited for digital cameras.

Having said that, I don't care, and in occasion of this "forgotten lenses" ...

Manya is back.

I am very fond of Manya, but it was only thanks to one of you Patron that I learned she is coming back in Italy for a quick tour.
I immediately tried to book her for a shooting, and apparently we have agreed to shoot in Merate, but not the precise date or time...

I hope to convince her to pose with another one of my motorbikes, the Kawasaki, but she is worried about the outcome of the pictures 😂
She is terrified about the sexy pin-up stereotype that this association may imply.<...

Last minute communications.

As swoon as you leave a second to any model, they have to chat, update, organise and post.
Cristiana is not particularly active on social media, she uses only Instagram and not a lot, but she is still constantly glued to her phone.
In this case she was waiting for me to prepare the camera, but I couldn't resist another backstage insight photo. 🤩

Last picture.

This was the last picture I managed to steal from the shooting with Slim.
The cleaning bloke had already walked in on us and left again to leave us some privacy.
I just took a few more pictures and then I started packing my gear and Slim started showering and dressing.
We were running a bit late because of her train, but also the renting agency was earlier than agreed.

Move your hair.

I usually don't need to ask Martina to move her hair out of the way, she just know she has to do it, because she is perfectly self conscious about her appearance in every moment, and she sense what any photographer might need from her and ask for.
It is an instinct more than a thought, and it is down to practice and empathy.
I feel this telepathic bond mainly with Martina mainly because we have worked so many times together, but i suspect I could build this relationship with other model...

Working with Julia.

When I look back at the all my shootings I must admit I have been pretty lucky with the beauty of my models so far, and the variety also!
Julia for example was a pleasant surprise and I'm always fond of the pictures we made together, and the atmosphere that we managed to work in.

In Italy it is not very easy to find a lot of black or asian models, particularly for the explicit style I require, but I will keep searching...

Picnic with Sofia.

Nearly time to organise a picnic, you just have to find the right company to share your sandwich...

The quilted sofa.

A dramatic lightning is great to create shadows and mystery.
Fortunately in this case it also allows to keep some details in these shadows, because we prefer our mysteries to be only partially darkened...

Varied diet.

Puffa was taking care of her appearance, nails, make up and hair were always perfect, whilst Cristiana (for instance) always tend to overdo it and mess things up(like in our last shooting in Gallarate).
So looking back at these pictures I must admit is was easier working with Puffa and I had less retouching to do.
The blue highlights were also a nice touch... 😉

But I also love the variety of character and appearance I get from these girls, they are so different to one another I...

I am your memory...

Let's not forget I made 3 shooting with Cristiana, and I'm not about to leave out the other 2, because I still have so many great pictures to show you.
This was our first shooting, in march 2020.
This girl took some time to grow on me, but I now find her particularly intriguing, not because she has the best body, and not because she is the most sexy, but I always want to see more of her and how she is developing from this very young age.

Pizza dare.

Sexy amateur movies on the web are frequently using this plot, with girls in various states of undress opening up the door on delivery guys of any kind.
But I imagine that finding Martina on the other side of the door could be a big shock, possibly even fatal if the delivery man suffers from any kind of hearth disease...

Most of these people are treated very badly and payed very little for the work they do, but this really seems to be the future of commerce in general, and it escalat...

The Vitruvian girl.

Most of my models are young and always ready to have fun.
Whenever I say something funny it is likely they will react with a laugh that's going to get rid of any tension that might have build up.
In these cases I have to concentrate on keeping my finger on the shutter button and keep on shooting, to record the precious moment.
People laughing may not look as beautiful as when they are serious, but they definitely look more real, getting rid of the last mask of seriousness we tend to ...

Casual nude.

The plain fabric of the sofa is helping the tattoos on Fanny skin to stand out, and the dramatic lightning is effective in giving a 3D effect.
I really like this kind of simple pictures, and I should learn not to be carried away too much by the willingness of the models... most of the times the more explicit photos will please our curiosity, but are sacrificing most of the natural and casual appearance.

Nostalgia.

Every location has a best spot, even when it is a dreadful location.
In this corner of the apartment, Martina and I managed to make some stunning pictures.

I miss Martina... maybe it is time to plan the next shooting together.

Knowing the light.

Light is everything in photography, most of the times I have to accept the available light  and try to make the most out of it, and sometimes I really get lucky. 

It pays off to examine the location in its entirety before starting shooting away and identify the most suitable corners, not only from a design point of view, but also from a illumination prospective, both as quality and quantity.

Ever used a round bed?

It was one of the option in the swinger club I visited with Martina.
Not sure if the actual users of the premises are interested in the shapes of beds, but it was interesting from the visual point of view, but only if you place a naked Martina on it...

Too many neighbors!

First thing we agreed upon with Cristiana before starting shooting of yesterday was not to use the terrace, because it was not protected enough from the onlookers... but then we decided to try a couple of pictures while she was smoking wearing a blouse, and shortly after she was completely naked and on show 😊

This shooting was postponed a few times, but it was worth waiting, because we managed to use this apartment of a fellow photographer that was very nice and spacious; also the we...

NFT is a viral idea.

I'm not the only one that got hooked on this NFT idea, also a friend of mine appears to be very interested and we are considering to start a project together around it.
It is going to be more commercially biased than my Bramley Apple mission, and this could mean going back to some of the models I had previously abandoned because they were not daring enough...

In search for the right angle.

Once you have found a good position, it is always a good practice to circle around the model to find the best angle.
The opening photo is still the one that works better for me, even if the handcuffs are less visible...
Unfortunately a soft bed is always going to hide some portions of the body, but for the model is infinitely more comfortable than a table top, and her expression is going to reflect this.

Under the sun.

Puffa is a big fan of the sun, and she likes to spend hours tanning every day in the Summer, possibly nude.
This August heat was too much even for her, but it looks great in photo.

Squatting Martina.

A beautiful woman is going to look sexy in the most awkward position.
So it always pays off to try new poses, something interesting may come out.
In this particular picture I like the expression of Martina, and the fact she is not hiding herself in any way.
The shadow is enough to make this picture less explicit.
