Martina back in February 2018.
I'm sure this moment was one of the highlights of the shooting for her, because it was a cold day and she had a slight fever at the time.
The fireplace was actually burning and letting out a pleasant warmth.
This was the only time I have seen Martina sick, normally she feels invincible.
Usual positions are boring so, when you find an athletic model like Slim it is worth experimenting with the chair-kamasutra technique to come up with singular results.
You have to try and keep it classy, but in this frame we managed to pull it of pretty well.
Particularly when the model is and does not want to show too much, a good idea is to ask her to do something specific, so she get's out from the mindset of a model and starts to behave like an actress.
This way she is going to feel more natural.
This is Sadie checking the room whilst playing hide and seek... just pretending, mind you, why would you hide from such a gorgeous lady?
Don't ask me why the old style spotlight used with Martina gave less banding/flickering issues compared to the LED unit used with Cristiana, but it clearly did, particularly on videos!
So I suspect it is not simple matter of frequency of alternate current used for powering the units, but more of an issue with LED light in itself.

Manya and I had very little time together, but I'm very happy about the pictures we managed to create.
I hope she will consider coming back to Italy sometimes and shoot again with me.
She might be less glamorous than most of my models, but she represents the kind of artistic model that inspired the whole idea of my project.
Now that I think about it, I've never made a backstage video on these "outdoor" shootings yet.
The logistics would be a nightmare, but the occasion never presented from when I started the backstage idea.
Actually it is a very long time I don't attempt these kind of public places adventures with my models, but I'm happy for having done so in the past.
It is always risky and I'm not sure if I will manage to do more in the future... having said that, Summer is approaching!

If you ever desired to be a tree, this would have been a good reason, pity the branches couldn't embrace this body.
When there is plenty of light, the Leica M240 really shines, even for today's standards.
In this case it renders very well the roughness of the bark, compared with the softness of Martina's skin and hair.
You can ask any model to look into the camera, and she is going to do it (for the better or worse...)
But it is harder to ask her to smile or, even worse, to laugh.
For that you need an actress more than a model, or you need to provoke a natural reaction to try and capture a genuine moment.
I don't remember how I managed to get this smile from Anna (I was not shooting backstage videos yet), but I'm glad I managed, because it is not one of those lascivious smile which sounds like a fa...
Puffa confessed to me that this was the first time she ever tried wearing a pair of handcuffs, she felt uncomfortable at the time (2016), but something clicked in her head after this experience.
She soon became addicted to shibari and could not live without been restrained.
It was not a sexual thing either, but something deeper.

The web underground community about Martina is very active, and last time I checked they managed to get their dirty hands on some of my contents from various social media.
Fortunately not from Patreon or the secret Flickr album, so I'm lucky enough to have discreet patrons that do not share my limited contents!
Thank you to everybody to allow this community to expand without damaging the market of paid contents or the demureness of my models by leakage of pictures.

I usually don't like red lipstick on my models but, if I remember rightly, I forgot to tell her before our shooting.
So this is how she wanted to look, and it is ok for me... after all red suits her well.

The shooting with Cristiana went very well and she was gorgeous, notwithstanding the mild hay-fever she was suffering from.
I only had some issues with the new led spotlight that was giving some serious flickering problems.
Stills are never a problem because I always make multiple exposure for every pose, so at least one is fine; but some of the backstage videos are damaged beyond repair by darker banding appearing when the camera was selecting the wrong shutter speed automatically, ...

In this shooting, the model managed to simulate a sense of expectation in many frames, and this is a typical example.
I always like this neutral mood in a nude picture.
I rarely use the bathroom in my shootings, but this is the second photo of Martina in this room in four days.
Of course It's not a great risk to dare with a talented model.
Possibly this bathroom is less refined than the last shower, but it is somehow more domestic... with the towel on the floor as if she just finished drying after having taken a bath.

I'm seriously thinking of using also the Leica M240 for the shooting with Cristiana (scheduled for the 1st of March, just 4 days before last year's date).
I was looking some old photos in the past days, from the time I was using the Leica rangefinder extensively, and I miss that approach.

I've started posting on a new social called 100ASA, an interesting formula where you have to curate other people pictures to upload yours, and only the most appreciated photos are actually reaching the prime gallery.
Problem is the first of my picture has been deleted (I forced the mechanism by posting the only picture that was ever taken down from YouPic), and because I'm too honest when I comment the photos ...
I stay well away from wide angle lenses for nudes and portraits, but in this cramped bathroom I had to use the Nikon zoom at the widest setting of 28mm.
Maybe I should not fear wide angle lenses so much, but I still prefer the look of telephoto more.
One of the plusses of using wide angles is the close contact with the model, and Martina does not shy away from it.

Cristiana is coming back to Milano for a few days, and we are scheduling a shooting.
Now I know the girl and I know she is restless and constantly moving, so I will have to adjust my style to these conditions.
I will also avoid giving any indication about make up (she doesn't listen anyway 😉).

Got back to this shooting after some time.
I edited some of the pictures, but the skin of this model needs some serious retouching, and this requires time.
I would like to trace back all the left out models from the past, with time I should manage!
I usually ask my models to look straight into the lens, sometime I ask them to look away, but I also allow for a few closed eyes poses.
Closed eyes are very popular amongst models, but sometimes may look awkward.
Martina always manages to pull it off, so I happily let her do it; even if I'm sorry not to see her beautiful eyes in every photo, I have to show every aspect of these girls.
What do you prefer, open or closed?
We all fantasise about these wild and beautiful creatures, but are we sure life with them would be so perfect?
Sophia for example has a strong and easily flammable character, I suspect she would be difficult to tame in everyday life...
One thing is for sure, if she get's mad at you, start running, even if she is handcuffed!
In school, sport, or any picture of large groups, you ask the shorter people to stay in front and kneel down.
I suspect Stefani was never asked to do that as she is over 180 cm tall, she would probably be one of the last in the back, hidden by everybody else.
Fortunately in this case there is no other people to hide behind and we can see all of her charms even in a kneeling position.
The swinger club I have visited with Martina had plenty of interesting corners, albeit badly lit.
Ideally people using these places are not interested in powerful lights, but they prefer sensations and favour discretion.

I think it looks much better than example 1, and it is a good arrangement for the darker locations and seasons, when I can't rely on natural light.
The new led spotlight arrived on Monday is not a great quality item, but it is going to do a great job and is easy to carry around.

Yesterday I showed you a great body lighted by a bad light.
Today we are looking at a good side light that gives more volume to another great body shape.
Strong natural light coming from a window is always the best option, possibly not direct sunlight which is too harsh, but a soft light from a clear sky... sadly this is not always available.
Tomorrow I will show you another example where I try to reproduce this same effect in a dark apartment with a spotlight, during my last shoo...
The back of Viktoriia is a simple shape, yet so charming and evoking.

Looking at similar poses from Martina's last shooting they look so much better with a strong light coming mainly from one side (see Lesson 3).

During our last shooting, I was having a conversation with Martina about her breast (you will be able to hear it for yourself in original florentine accent in one of the backstage videos yet to be posted).
Apparently in the Summer season it is more relaxed and gets one size bigger, so much so she even has difficulty fitting it inside the regular bra she uses.

Katya is always graceful whilst posing, and this keeps at bay every concern about the appearance of the pictures.
In these days I'm looking at plenty of photos on Twitter, but you can easily spot the true artistic ones from the more vulgar and functional sexual pics (I can't use the word p..n)
It is a tricky balance I always tend to push on the limit, but graceful models like Katya are helpful in keeping the level of refinement high.
