With every batch i make I'm closer to the deciding on making a coming. I slowly feel more comfortable with different angles and perspectives. At the beginning of 2019 I challenged myself to study from photos. This sketchbook alongside two more are the outcome of this challenge. I went through few awesome instagrams and studied poses presented in there. This practice made me more aware of the impact gravity has on the body and the way rope cuts into the flesh.

This one took me a while to conceptualize. As you can see i made many little thumbnails to figure out what do i even think about this card. Recently i finally cut out some time to scan my sketches from the second half of the 2019 and squished it together into a pdf file! This time I included 78 pages of practically everything: from finished print designs through nsfw to some scrap sketches and little studies. On top of that there will be some of my messy work, some bad days, flooded or almost empty pages, thumbnails and DnD doodles.

I wanted to take a little spin on this one. Usually Judgement card is portrayed as a biblical day of judgement, but the meaning of the card had me thinking of something more internal. I went with meditative reflection of oneself, awakening the inner potential of one's mind.

Damn, this one is a perfect mess. I disliked the original background so much that I ended up cutting out the whole character out of the card and glueing it down to a new blank card 😂

I always have a problem with starting a bigger project if I'm not warmed up, especially in the mornings. My hand isn't working well, my brain is too slow and too lazy to actually imagine poses and make an effort to make it look even slightly life-like.
But what always works for me is 60/90sec sketches with posemaniacs.com.
With a very short amount of effort my hand is quickly warming up and my brain is forced to solve problem with the least amount of lines as possible to convey...
