Getting ready for the tour

ramsgate music hall tonight then heading off tou europe! will be doing a couple of live vids before i leave. really been on the back foot time wise getting it all ready, the whole paperwork for all of the new import rules being UK to europe now is just plain silly. tiring and annoying to sort out. just silly paper work. but yes! more to come :)

The Process Of Making "Bordsteinkante"

this is as much as we shot of the process of making bordsteinkante the second song from the EP. 25 mins, starting with figuring out drums, which we initially went with a plan of messing with tape speed but in an opposite manner to usual. but it didnt sound as good as going even slower than even what we played. then the process of making the vocals and recording them. and you can see how it evolved

this is the take we used for movement in the mirror on the pipe dreams EP.

Painting With The Easel 25 Minute Self Playing Song

Streams Live take

this is another track i made on portakosmo when at the lengths at fort william. the cut down version is below, but this vid is the take that it was all taken from!

there is a video going up today where i talk about the whole project! and next week ill make sure to add the videos i planned to do last week on actually building portakosmo. but it all just took too much time up to actually get it built  and had no tgime to edit the vids for you!:D

Live take of "Sounds from the other shore" PortaKosmo

here is another song from the visit i made to the lengths studio near fort william scotland, this song was inspired by the sounds coming from the other shoreline accross the water. the video is the live take i used to record it, then i added a couple of other swooshes and things to the recording which is belowl.

This is another one from my visit to scotland, this was from the first day. I have found they get a bit more inspired by the place as the visit went on. the one from yesterday "cloud inversions" was one from later on in the trip. twas a good couple of days!

I'm sorry I realised the mics are very sensitive and if there is background noise and people talking at museum it will destroy the vibe. So having to go now. I am also recording the files to mix and put here for Christmas :)

ROTOPOPS the successful live take

this video is the full vid of us recording the successful instrumental take of the song, this one probably took the most takes to get right, partially because it was the last one we made up, and also because of that pesky repetitive syncopation.
