THE PLAN FOR THIS WEEKS VIDEO PROJECT

Ferrite core drum loops

so its done and the video is on its way! it will be up in a few hours, here is a direct recording of the drum loops. feel free to use the downloads below and chop up etc, its quite a noisy one as thats the nature of that stripbioard of the drums. but who knows! adds to the character lets say :)

Write a sequence for Rope Core Memory Sequencer 1.0

So rope core memory sequencer is! near enough done. it just needsa programming, and a big old bunch of editing! the fact this project has taken yonks to do has meant a mountain of footage here and there to slice together but a good challenge nethertheless :D right! so to program a drum pattern

Finally this machine is going to see the light of day

So for this weeks video I decided to tackle this thing. Which has been pushed back and back. First down to complications, then down to the fact it was a bit naff. Then down to it not being very good! Then down to forgetting a few details of the project. And then just back and forth.

The SWTPC lives

So finally after going through multiple hands to get it fixed it fell into binary dinosaurs (he is on Twitter @binarydonosaurs) has managed to get it going again.

In January It was being turned into a sort of 1980's beatstep pro. However in the process of making the 4 channel cv/gate cars for the computer I managed to short out the computer. Having tried to repair it personally I had no luck and as you can see in the video actually managed to replace an ic backwards 😂 what a plonker...

engine out, synth plugged up to organ tomorrow

so tomorrow ill be bringing Kosmo to museum to plug in, see if they work well together, if all goes straight forward ill aim to do a vid or livestream. ut may not go as smoothly tomorrow let see!!! all depends if the organ is all in tune still haha

so unfortunately that room at the museum took forever and didnt get to the point to get the electricity back on, so couldn't do a livestream of synth and organ, I plan to do it next week. so as a stop gap. livestream running through we'll find a way. see you in 5 minutes

yep! so whatever happens there will be a livestream of musical form on Friday at 7pm uk time I think its BST at the minute) :) now I gotta get cleaning! cheers everyone! it may seem a bit silly doing this but I think it will really make the next steps in the organ worthwhile, more space for the console. and also synth parts and what not adding to it!

So it was always the plan when junk rock tv was going out I'd do some work that had needed to be done for a while, as mentioned in the previous vid. The repair shop for quite a while has been a rubbish place to film videos in. It's harshly lit and just overall a bit of a blando ugly one. And as it was getting moved to hopefully a bit more of a permanent spot I thought I'd use the time to make a nicer looking place for videos. It's coming along. So yeah had a bit of an epiphany last night and ermm yeah! This is gunna happen I promise everything will get done haha. But yeah I'll be designing a synth voice and sequencer for this in the next week or so and I'll upload or livestream the findings for you all! It will likely be stripboard but let's see!

HELLO HOWS IT GOING more formant for the museum!

having a look through more formant I will be plopping in a bigger case with the other stuff at the museum, after October more of the pesky plasterboard divider walls will be coming down at the museum, all in all it will be twice as big as it was at the start. so need to fill it! this project will likely come back in October, as this month will be a few bits on bringing the other instruments back to life, then finishing the organ for a vid then boom onto bring the formant and the ETI diy synth...

So above is what the plan is. Well. It was till about half an hour ago when I got a tad bit of an epiphany. Based on the fact I may not get this synth done in 2-3 days after looking at it.
