Drunken Link

Suggested by CJ. He wanted me to draw Link getting drunk off with Milk.

I figured it would be an interesting scene, so I decided to push the details and add  more to it compared to the first rough sketch: Link

Hope you like it so far :)

Squirtle (Alt)

“Squirtle’s shell is not merely used for protection. The shell’s rounded shape and the grooves on its surface help minimize resistance in water, enabling this Pokémon to swim at high speeds.”

Flipnote 16- Walk cycle Girl (Back)

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 8 frames of animation.

This time, I wanted to animate a walk cycle as seeing from the back.

I tried to exaggerate the movements on the hips to make it feel more loose and appealing. "Dem sexy hips"

Making a walk cycle from the back or front and make it look natural is really difficult, because you have to make the limb that goes front of the character  look smaller and the other bigger,  switch betwee...

Flipnote 15- Defiant Tabby

Made in Flipnote studio for the 3DS,

35 frames of animation.

This time, I wanted to animate a defiant character entering the scene and interacting with a passive one.  I think that, at least at the moment, this is one of the most complex scenes I've tried to animate.

I started with undefined characters to sketch the movement and later I added details to the female character. If you see the character on the left, you'll have an idea on how both lo...

Flipnote 14- Cute Nod

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 10 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate a consistent head turning up and down. This is not based on a preexisting character,  it's a cute new original design, kinda like a hybrid between a cow and a human.

Optional name: Catalina (Katelyn)

Flipnote 13- Tabby dance

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 11 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate more body movement. I decided to go for a small dance loop, After I was done with the movement, I added the details to make the look like Tabby.

I don't regret it, it's really cute to look at, and kinda hypnotizing :O

Flipnote 12- Running chicken

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 10 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate a running cycle. For some odd reason, I usually have a hard time with walk cycles, I need to practice them more often.

Nonetheless I consider this was a nice attempt, it can be improved sure, but it was a nice practice.

Flipnote 11- Baseball

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 33 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate a character swinging a bat trying to hit a baseball, I also added a bug squash for some reason XD

Despite the order in which I'm showing them to you, this was one of my first animation attempts at this app.

Flipnote 11- Tabby shake it

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 7 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate an arm movement overlapping another one. I'm aware that it can be improved, I'll probably try with a more exaggerated and loose movement for the next attempt.

Flipnote 10- Inkling squat

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 6 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate an action on a human figure. I decided to animate an squat because I knew I could start from an standing action and finish with a crouched one, the rest was about filling the gaps between those actions.

I picked an inking because, I know their design from memory, they're cute, small and easy to draw. It also gave me the option to animate the tentacle movement while she crouched.

Flipnote 9 - Spinning creature

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 5 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate an object rotating in one position. Sure, I guess it can be improved adding some additional frames and a background.

Despite the order in which I'm showing them to you, this was one of my first animation attempts at this app.

Flipnote 8- Spidey

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 18 frames of animation.

I wanted to animate an object swinging from one side of the screen to the other. I just figured adding Spidey in there would be pretty fitting :)

Flipnote 7- Bouncing ball

Made in Flip studio for the 3DS, 14 frames of animation.

I wanted to see if I could create the illusion a bouncing object. It's a pretty basic animation exercise, I'm sure I'm can improve it with enough practice.

System limitations? a conspiracy? I'm not sure really...

I just thought that, if it was the case, it would be funny to see Toad flip off Mario with no particular reason or explanation.

I hope you like it :)

Beaten Linker

Made around July of 2012.

Back then, I had this bad habit of making sketches for the climax scenes of the stories I had in mind.

I never shared this piece because I had an experience with a similar type of picture. It was clearly confusing to the audience and pointless to share as a final artwork. clearly because I was the only one that knew the events behind it.

Now it's obvious for me, but back then I had no idea what I was doing XD

Tabby Sidewalk

Made in October of 2011, Before the Izanna girls redesign. This one comes from an scrapped comic strip.

Back then, I didn't like the way the scene looked, although nowadays I don't see it as bad as I remember it to be.

Nadya Sunset

Made around November of 2012, before her character redesign.

I wanted to make an artwork of Nadya resting her arms against the balcony of her house, with a nice sunset in the background. Part of the city in which they live was going to be visible in the back.

I'm not sure why exactly I never finished this picture, I assume that, based on the date, that I just gave up in my arts. Back then, there was a period in which I became discouraged to keep doing it anymore because of extern...

Windy summer (Tabatha sketch)

Tabatha sketch made in January 7th of 2014, obviously after her redesign.

At that time, I just wanted to make a picture of her walking around the city with a cute dress. I picked a windy scenario because I wanted to give flow and movement to her hair and dress. I never got to decided if I wanted a clear blue sky or a sunset for the picture.

If I  decided to complete this picture at some point, I'm probably going to add more elements to it.

Flipnote 5- Picking up

Part of my practice to learn some basic animation, made in Flipnote studio for the 3DS. This time I wanted to animate a character making an action, just picking up something on the floor. The animation it's a bit stiff, but it can be improved.

I've been thinking about  using this rough animations to polish them and make something more detailed, we'll see how that ends up.

Flipnote 4- Linker scrapped ideas

Flipnote 1- By the sea

Part of my practice to learn some basic animation. Made in Flipnote studio for the 3DS. This is the first one I've exported so far in a GIF format.

This app really comes in handy, being able to paint directly on the screen makes everything feel more natural. I just wish it had pressure sensitivity and a bigger screen, but hey, at least it's something!

I've also been thinking about  using this rough animations to polish them and make something more detailed, we'll see how tha...
