A quick inside look on how the Background for this picture is build :)
Originally I was planning to go for the Super Mario Bros 3 exact appearance for the BG, but I decided to soften some black elements on it. In my opinion, it was becoming too visually distracting.
After all, I wanted the characters to be the center of the attention, not the background :)

I decided to tag this with a mature filter despise not being nearly as explicit as it should be. I opted to include a mildly suggestive theme in there, just in case somebody didn't want to see it. Let me know what you think about it.

As I promised earlier, if I ever bought new equipment with your contribution, I was going to inform you what I actually got.
I think I mentioned that just when I started Patreon my old scanner started malfunctioning, and suddenly stopped working. It left me unable to scan my pencil sketches. I had to take pictures of every sketch I wanted to show you, with the hope that the old scanner start...
Today, I wanted to show a trivial aspect in the way I work my art. Maybe you'll find it interesting, maybe you won't, but that's okay.
What you see here is the scanner in which I digitized my works from 2009 to 2015.
I bought it in an afternoon of January of 2009. I wanted to have a way to transfer the sketches I made to my computer.

Part of my idea involving Lucina's new artwork was to make a masked version too. Not only that, but to use the alternate costume of wii fit trainer as well.

By suggestion of Soran I decided to work in the reflection on the mirror of Lucina.
I wanted to save some time doing in it in a simple way, But even I have a hard time leaving those details away, so I'm gonna fix it. I think it could be a good practice.
It's been long time since I drew a cute lady's back side, so it's not all that bad XD
I figured that somebody could feel bad because of Lucina's expression in this picture, and the fact that she's ashamed for wearing that type of outfit.
Because of that, I made a set of slightly different expressions. So, if you don't like the one I used, you can pick the one you like the most :)
Fun fact, this is how the final version of the artwork looked, but I decided to make a full body picture while I was working on it.

Based on a suggestion made by CJ.
I wanted the artwork to have a similar art style to the oficial illustrations of Okami. Hence, I experimented a bit with the coloring, I added some textures, and I tried to give a natural feel to the outline brush strokes. I hope you like it :)

Since I was going to share this artwork outside my Deviantart gallery, I decided to make some changes to it. I didn't changed the estructure of the drawing at all, I just adjusted the color values and added more light effects to it, plus the glasses.
In my opinion she looks more dreamy now, I hope you like the new version :D
